You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Please say hello to Beth! Beth is a Bernese Mountain Dog/ Husky Mix. She was born December 7, 2018. Prior to coming into rescue she lived her life in a small kennel inside of a barn, breeding puppies over and over. She had no name, they called her 'Dog.' Beth is learning a whole new life outside of the farm. She is playful but will need time to open up. She is scared of new things and has only lived in a barn stall her whole life. She loves being outside so will require a fenced in yard and a home with older children. Beth loves playing with other dogs so a home with another dog would be fine. But she can be an only dog. She loves playing with stuffies and will lay with them. She has never lived in a home so it will all be new. She will need patience from adopter so she can trust them. Beth will be a committed companion. Once Beth is comfortable she is good with anyone. She is spayed, up to date on vaccines and microchipped. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. 2nd Chance 4 Life Rescue is primarily a sanctuary for senior and medically needy dogs.  Every once in awhile you will see younger dogs but for the most part our dogs live out their life at the ranch at the request of their previous owners or their owners families.  We have many sponsorship dogs.  Our sponsors love to keep in touch and know how their sponsored fur buddy is doing :)When we have foster families we are thrilled to be able to take adoptable younger dogs :)  So if you have ever thought about becoming fosters please feel free to go to our foster/volunteer page and fill out an application.The Ranch located at 737 Taylor Rd., Windsor, PA is always looking for dedicated volunteers that will commit to at least a 2 hour shift per week at the rescue.  Volunteers work in play yards, help with laundry and feeding.  Some enjoy landscaping or carpentry projects and some like to bake for the healing center visitors :)Thank you for supporting our mission of caring for the elderly and medically needy souls that need us!Lets talk about Charlie.  His owner got him from a puppy mill in Ohio.  Paid good money and had him shipped here.  Thats always a recipe for disaster :(  His owner was already sick and within the 8 months of Charlies life the owner died.Charlie has had no exposure to ANYTHING :(   We have started working with him exposing him to people, bicycles, walks etc.  Charlie is a super smart dog and is learning quickly but he will need a family that understands there is still much work to do.  An adopter MUST be willing to work with our behaviorist for at least 3 sessions.Charlie requires a fenced yardVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Please fill out an adoption application: Adoption application (Dog) Adoption Application (Cat)   Please understand we do not adopt out dogs to families with children under the age of 5. We do not adopt dogs to renters.
