Story
Meet Ripley! To meet Ripley is to fall in love. This 1-year-old, 55-pound Retriever/Bernese Mountain Dog mix has a heart as big as his fluffy frame. Ripley is incredibly sweet, loving, and has the best temperament you could ask for. He’s fantastic with all dogs and people, greeting everyone like a lifelong friend. Outgoing yet gentle, Ripley has a natural charm that wins over everyone he meets. Found as a stray, he doesn’t seem to have ever met a stranger! If you’re looking for a loyal, friendly, and affectionate companion, Ripley is ready to become your new best friendIMPORTANT: Please read all below, especially if you live outside of Texas, which is where our rescue is located.Apply to adopt on our website: https://www.charmingpetrescue.org/adoptAll of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots.ALL of our animals are located in Boerne, TX, but transport after adoption is available to other states for a $300 fee for dogs or an additional fee varying by location for cats. If you are seeing our pets posted in your state, that's because you live near a transport stop, they are not currently at that location. Petfinder lists our pets as 'Out of Town' pets at other locations, and Adopt-a-Pet lists our location as a Transport stop. Those are currently the only options they offer to make this clear, so we put this description we've put at the bottom to explain it. You can read more about transport here: www.charmingpetrescue.org/transportWe understand transport is not an option for everyone, but we offer it at the cost we pay the transport company for those who wish to adopt from us.January 30, 2025, 12:04 pm

Hope Rescues is all volunteer, all visits must be scheduled you may do that by filling out an online application as that is needed for a visit. You can find an application our website. Our adoption fee is $275.00 which includes Rabies vaccine, spay/neuter, current heart worm test, DHPP booster, Bordetella vaccine, Microchip, Worming.Bernard DOB 11/21/2014 Male, Rottweiler Mix Bernard is friendly but would do best with a home with no children. House trained. Gets along with other dogs but is possessive with toys and food so he would do best in a home with no other pets.. Bernard is a big boy, approximately 75 lbs, who thinks he is a lap dog.  Please help us make room to save more homeless pets!!! Adopting from Hope Rescues saves the life of two.. the one you adopt and the one your adoption makes room for. We are a Rescue which means we physically go and save lives. Hope pulls animals on their last day of life from animal control facilities that still use the inhumane gas chamber to put to death homeless pets.
