Ideally my forever home would need to be home during the day to help me with my potty training and not leave me for breaks longer than 3 - 4 hours. Weighing in at just under 10 pounds, I’m a cuddle bug who adores being close to my humans—if I’m not running around outside, you’ll usually find me curled up right next to you, ready for pets and snuggles. I’m still working on a few puppy basics like potty training and crate training, but I’m learning quickly! I love playing with my foster siblings and enjoy meeting new dog friends. My name is Shadow. I am a mix breed doodle, most likely a Bernese mountain dog mixed with a mini poodle. I’m 3 years old. I am very shy, I still like my food put in the kennel so I feel safe when I eat. I really like freeze dried liver or chicken treats. I'm getting better about taking them from your hand. I lived my previous life very secluded so I have had to learn all of my manners. I will wear a collar and/ or a harness now without a problem. I go out to potty on a leash and I am still unsure when it is time to hook it up. I'm getting better. I pretty much figured out potty training, but sometimes my signals aren't the best and they get missed. I started taking my meals in a kennel so I felt safe. I still eat in there but, I've gotten comfortable enough that I will drink out of the community water bowl. I really like to go visit my extended foster family, they have a fence and other younger dogs for me to watch. I don't interact with the dogs much but I really study what they are doing. Sometimes I get an upset tummy in the car. I haven't the last couple of rides so maybe I am out growing that. I love children and tolerate adults well. My foster family think I am very handsome after I got my 1st hair cut ever. I am very quiet, no barking, but if I get startled I will run as fast as I can to my safe place. Here, at my foster house that is my mom's bed. Fireworks on the 4th didn't really bother me, I'd just lift my head up off the couch and put it back down. I didn't have any toys before so I am not sure what to do with them. I also had never been on a walk, I will walk nicely on a 6ft leash, just slightly behind my foster mom. We can't go too far I start to get nervous. I am very sweet pup and will do well with patients and lots of love. Shadow is up to date on vaccines, neutered, and microchipped. Welcome Athena to CCPAL Rescue. She is a 2-year Great Pyrenees. She weighs about 90 pounds. She has a beautiful coat and the typical extra back toes commonly found in this breed. This is a guardian breed dog. They naturally will protect their flock or family. This breed will do best in a fully fenced yard as they will roam away if there is no fence. She is good with other dogs and will need some more leash work. She would be great with someone that knows the breed and loves it. She should have the natural tendencies of this breed. She had puppies and we adopted them out. We also adopted out the larger male that was found with her as a stray. She would be fine with children. We like them to be 8 or older. She is up on her vaccines, healthy, spayed and ready for her forever home. She is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Welcome Anna to CCPAL Rescue. Anna is a 3-year old Great Pyrenees. She is about 65 pounds and we saved from a high kill Animal Control here in Texas. She was pregnant so CCPAL took her in. She was too far along and we didn’t want to see her or her puppies euthanized. She had 9 puppies. They are about weaned so she will begin to dry up and be ready for her forever home. She does not have the extra dew claw on her back feet but some of her puppies do have it. She is very mellow and doesn’t jump up. She is friendly and laid back to strangers. She would be great with children. We like them to be 8 or older. She could go with a family that is low to moderately active as she is very chill. She is good on a leash and in a car. She is good in a crate and has met lots of dogs smaller than herself and has done great with all of them. She wasn’t at all reactive on leash and is an overall wonderful dog. She is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally. We would love her to go more north because the temperatures are less warm and she has a big beautiful coat. She will need brushing to keep her beautiful coat. We would love someone that has owned a guardian breed. This is an amazing breed and will do better in a fence over underground fencing. Welcome Bertha to CCPAL Rescue. She is an 8 week old puppy that is now getting weaned and will be ready for her forever home. She is a big puppy and should weigh 65 pounds full grown. She has the Great Pyrenees toes on her back feet. She is shorter than some of the other puppies and she is big and stocky. She has a beautiful white coat and the volunteers here at the rescue have her bathed and brushed for her photo shoot. She weighs about 14 pounds already. She gets along well with her siblings. She is one of 9 puppies. She has a wonderful mother and this entire litter is sweet and gentle. She would be great for someone wanting to raise a large breed dog. She is a guardian breed and will be great with children. We like them to be 8 or older. She will need a fence over underground fencing. This is typical of this breed. She is good in a crate and good in a car. She is decent at baths and has already had a toenail clipping. She is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful trasporters to get her to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast.
