Story
Liza & Layla are a bonded pair of Bernedoodle pups, about 4 months old who were likely dumped by a breeder in a rural area and survived for about a month by being fed by farmers in the area until GRRAND was notified and asked to help them! It was very hard capturing them as they are so fearful, but after one getting away, and then found again, we have them both and are trying to help them understand they do not have to fend for themselves and what love is all about! THEY MUST HAVE A SECURE ABOVE GROUND FENCED IN YARD as they are fearful and flight risks, and a home with NO KIDS UNDER the age of 16, as right now, the GRRAND kennel staff say IF you stand very still, and very quiet, they may come up and take a piece of food from you, but they take off again. They are starting to come around and trust people and need a home with folks who have lots of patience and are willing to work with them over time to teach them about life as indoor loved family members. We would be willing to consider separating the littermates, but do not want to leave one behind in the kennel if her sister was to leave, so we are looking for a home that would take both of them and either adopt them as a pair or adopt one and foster the other until another home could be found for her.  If separated, the pups will definitely need homes with another confident young dog that can help them gain their own confidence and show them the ropes. They BOTH LOVE playing with other dogs! With time and patience, they will come around, but need the correct family to help them work through their fears. Please fill out an app at GRRAND.org if you would like to meet Liza and Layla ##2080274##

Story
Stella is a Courtesy Listing and is not housed at the Animal Shelter. Please note that the City of Bloomington Animal Care & Control accepts no responsibility for this pet. Potential adopters are responsible for communicating directly with the pet's guardian.Stella is a Bernedoodle who has been raised in a home with a large family. She is used to children of all ages and has been very good with them. She spends a lot of time napping quietly but enjoys getting outside several times a day to get her energy out. She knows several commands and is used to being in an open backyard without a leash. She typically comes when called and is very trainable. She loves treats! We have one cat that Stella loves to aggravate but they do not fight. She has minimal experience with other dogs, but so far she has been meek and if anything she is a little afraid of other dogs. Stella is used to living indoors and she sleeps in her own bed. When she was 1.5 years old, she developed epilepsy and has seizures about every 1-2 weeks. She has been on medication for them, which reduces their frequency but does not eliminate them altogether. It has become too much for us to manage with a large household, but someone who could be more consistent with her medication and patient with her needs would be a perfect owner. She is very loving and affectionate. She will cuddle with adults, teenagers, middle schoolers and toddlers. If she needs attention or to be let out, she will let us know by putting her head in our lap or following us around until we meet her needs. She is a wonderful dog.If you would like to inquire into adopting this pet, PLEASE TEXT OR CALL 812-360-1571***Please ignore the Apply to Adopt button for this pet & contact the owner directly***
