Story
Hi there, I’m Joey, a 2.5-year-old Bernese Mountain Dog with a heart as big as my 82-pound frame! I’m a friendly, easygoing guy who loves making new friends—especially if they’re humans or other dogs. My favorite thing is leaning in close for pets and cuddles, soaking up all the love I can get. I’m a quiet, gentle soul, but I’ve got a playful side that comes out whenever there’s fun to be had. I’ll admit, I’m a bit of a goofball at heart. Life is better when we don’t take ourselves too seriously, don’t you think? I’d be the perfect companion for someone who enjoys a mix of cozy cuddle time and playful adventures. If you’re looking for a big, lovable pup to bring joy and laughter to your life, I’m your guy! Thank you so much for your interest in adopting a dog from A New Chance Animal Rescue (https://anewchancear.org). We are a 501c3, tax deductible organization. ANCAR is a foster-based rescue, and we adopt within a 90 mile radius of Bedford Hills, NY. You will find the adoption application here: (https://anewchancear.org/adopt/adoption-application/). All fields on the application must be completed. Please read about the adoption process (https://www.anewchancear.org/adopt/our-adoption-process/) so you'll know what to expect when you submit. Our dogs are in foster care and we do NOT have a shelter or boarding facility. AN APPLICATION MUST BE COMPLETED IN FULL AND APPROVED BEFORE A DOG CAN BE MET. This is a firm policy. Our busy volunteers are not able to respond to questions about the dog or dog meeting requests in the absence of an application. We know these dogs very well because they are in foster care. Please read the profiles of the dog(s) you are interested in prior to submitting an application. If there are specific requirements stated (ie: Fenced Yard or Canine Friend Required) these are included because they are vital to the happiness, health, safety and adoption success of that dog. We are only able to save as many dogs as we have foster homes (https://www.anewchancear.org/foster/faqs/) and resources for. We provide medical care including vaccinations, testing, deworming, spaying/neutering and microchipping before transporting our dogs. We provide all supplies, preventatives and any follow up vet care necessary while they are in foster care. These costs are high and the number of lives we can save is entirely dependent upon donations from people like you. We do not receive funding from private foundations or government sources. If you can find room in your heart to help us, with any amount, we are truly grateful (https://www.anewchancear.org/help/donate/). We are a 501c3 organization, so all donations are tax-deductible. It is only through the kindness of supporters like you that we are 'changing lives...one tail at a time' by providing our dogs with 'A New Chance.' (https://anewchancear.org) Thanks so much.

Story
Asher is an extremely kind dog who does well with people, especially kids. I got Asher when he was only 2 months and he is now 1.5 years old. He’s taught me so much as a dog owner and I’m upset for even going through this process but my busy schedule and city life make it difficult for me to keep him. He deserves a home where he is able to get more attention - ideally a large family with lots of space for him to play.

Story
We’re fostering Molly for Animals Lives Matter Of East Texas, an 9 year old female Great Pyrenees. She was completely matted and smelled terrible! 2.5 hours of shaving later, she’s no longer matted, panting and rested easy. Molly has gained weight and strength, and has learned how to use a doggy door. She is vaccinated, crate trained and gets along with everyone and everything (adults, children, dogs, cats, etc.) Molly does well in a busy home where there is a lot for her to watch over :) Click Here to visit Molly’s Facebook Album: https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.768317348810586&type=3
