Story
Meet Frankie, a mature canine resident at our shelter. He's a unique blend of bravery and shyness, independence and gentleness. His mellow demeanor hides a sharp intellect that yearns for stimulation. Frankie is a bit of a puzzle, a challenge that requires an advanced trainer who understands the nuances of working with a fear/feral dog. His intelligence and independence make him a fascinating companion, yet his shyness and gentleness add a touch of sweetness. Adopting Frankie is not just about providing a home for a dog in need, it's about embarking on a rewarding journey of trust-building with a truly special soul.

Story
Meet Sam! Sam is a Bernedoodle that was abandoned by his owner. It is believed Sam was left outside for long periods of time before escaping multiple times in January looking for help. When the owner was texted, they read the text and never responded! That’s when we knew Sam needed a better life with a family who loves him. He was malnourished and in dire need of a groom. Sam seems to be friendly with other dogs and is not reactive to them. He has sniffed a cat and had no negative response to it. He has been incredibly loving to humans with no aggression. Sam has not been around children but has seen them from a far and had no negative reaction to them. We want Sam to go to a home who understands the needs of doodles, and that they need to be regularly groomed to maintain their coat. We estimate Sam to be between 1-2 years old. Please fill out an adoption application at backthebluepetrescue.org. A meet and greet is required in Gilbert, AZ, followed by a home check in person. His adoption will include his neuter, current vaccines to include Rabies, and a microchip. HIs adoption fee is $350. February 2, 2025, 11:57 am
