Hi! My name is Maggie and I was brought to the city of Columbus from my original home in Fredericksburg, OH. My original home was a farm and from there I take on my love for running, sticks and chasing birds! I am very energetic and require a large place to run and explore. I am good with kids, and protective over the people I love. I am not friendly to strangers, unless I decide that they are. My least favorite thing is a leash, I take time to adjust to new places and get spooked easily.

Sweet Lucy is 10 months old and is partially house broken, if not fully, to the best of my knowledge. She also knows a few commands (sit, paw, etc.) I acquired her from craigslist and after a few days realized that I'm not ready to adopt another dog. I lost my bernedoodle to cancer about 6 weeks ago and thought I could fill the void with a new companion. The original owner will not respond to my multiple messages and unfortunately said she "forgot" her paperwork when I picked her up. She seems to be well taken care of, groomed, and likely up to date on her shots as well. I just don't have the verification of this although I sent my address to the original owner requesting to receive the documentation. She is not chipped. She apparently came from a bernedoodle breeder in Columbus. I am a dog lover and I don't want a large rehoming fee. I just want Lucy to find a good home to live her best life. I am 72 yrs old and now realize that I cannot take care of myself and a dog like a used to.
