Story
Meet Lucky! Your new lucky charm is a 5-year-old, 10lb poodle who is sweet, loving, timid and curious. Lucky is doing great with potty training already going outside on grass pads and inside on grass pads as well. He is learning to play with toys and loves rolling on his back on throw rugs with big stretches. He is calm yet observant and loves being by his dog brother tolerating his playfulness while slowly learning to play along. Although Lucky enjoys going on "walks" being carried in a pouch, he is still unsure about walking on a leash and prefers to sit in the grass enjoying the sunshine. His favorite treats include cheddar cheese and peanut butter. This tiny but mighty bundle of love will be very "lucky' to have you as his permanent safe, loving home. Lucky is fostered in the Cincinnati area. His adoption fee is $450.00. To adopt this animal, please visit https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt All of our animals come spayed or neutered, up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals. For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible. We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.

Story
KOBY is a darling, delightful little boy looking for a home. Our best guess on breed is a Maltipoo (poodle/maltese) type mixed breed guy. He was surrendered to us in rough shape, underweight with a matted, messy coat. He's been groomed and has been adding weight and is well on his way to being absolutely perfect. Koby is 4-5 years old and currently 10 pounds. He should be about 13 pounds. Koby is housebroken, crate trained and good with other dogs and cats. He walks well on a leash. Koby's coat will require regular grooming to keep him healthy and looking fabulous. His adopter must be prepared for that regular expense. Koby must go to a home in the greater Cincinnati/TriState area in order to complete his standard rescue vetting. If you'd like to meet Koby, please fill out a dog adoption application at dreamhouserescue.org. We are happy to arrange a private meet with an approved adopter. You can meet Koby at our weekly adoption event, Saturday noon-2 at PetSmart Eastgate.  All of our fully-vetted adoptable dogs go to prospective homes for a one-week trial period to make sure the dog and home are the right fit before an adoption is finalized. We only adopt dogs into homes where all current pets are spayed/neutered and current on vaccines and heartworm and flea and tick prevention. We do check veterinary references to make sure adopters are compliant with standard veterinary care. Our adoptable dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm tested, dewormed and current on flea and tick and heartworm prevention. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.March 21, 2025, 5:05 pm

Story
Uno would do best as an only dog or with a submissive dog due to his energy and love of claiming his toys. He is missing an eye because he got into an altercation with a big dog that didn't like his attitude! He is crate trained and potties outside, but he does mark in the house with other males dogs present. he wears a belly band with no issues. Leash skills have improved and we just step away from dogs on the walk and redirect him. He could be leashed walked and be an only dog. He can coexist with other dogs with management of toys. He eats in his crate. If you have a fence with dogs on the other side, will take him awhile to get used to them without acting a fool. He is a fantastic companion in the right home. He is loving and loves affections. His behaviors of wanting to be King can be managed by experience pet owner. Freds Mission Rescue has an adoption radius of 100 miles from Cincinnati. All dogs are fully vetted, altered, current on flea/tick/heartworm/wormer, and microchipped. The rescue does not adopt out to properties with invisible fences or tie outs.
