Story
Update 3/21/26 Bernie has seen our vet and had his wellness exam, and is current on his vaccinations. He was not neutered at this appointment as they did not have an opening for him. We are hoping this next week they can squeeze him in with our other spays/neuters we have scheduled. Bernie is starting to blossom and become a happy/playful little boy. We did have his eye examined. For those of you who dont know his story we believed Bernie had an eye injury and was missing an eye. We do not know his back story so we thought this was an injury. However after his vet exam we have found out that he does have an eye, its just very small and he has no sight out of it. We were glad to know he did not go through any type of trauma. Bernie got a clean bill of health and is ready for his forever home. If he is adopted prior to his neuter he will go home on a 30 day neuter contract stating he needs to be neutered within 30 days and will have a neuter rebate of 75.00 to help towards his neuter. Bernie is a miniature Bernerdoodle just over 10 pounds and is 6 months old. He was a transport to our rescue from a not so great breeding facility. This little boy has spent his life so far living in a cage waiting to be sold for profit. He does just fine with one eye and this of course will not affect his life as a normal happy pet. Bernie is a bit timid at first until he gets comfortable in his environment. He will do best in a home with a fur sibling to show him the ropes. Please keep in mind he has not lived in a home yet and will need time and patience to adjust, this is why a fur sibling that is kind and gentle would be best for him. Bernie is not leash trained and it will take him some time to adjust to a harness and leash so a secure fenced yard will be required to adopt him. Bernie will be heading to our vet for his full vetting. At this appointment he will be neutered, vaccinations, deworming, heartworm/flea prevention. If you have any questions please text or email us to request an application.
