Story
How this pet arrived: Lacky was brought in by his previous owner on January 21, 2025. Why this pet is the one for you:Meet Lacky, a sweet and shy dog who is looking for a patient and understanding family to call his own. Lacky is fearful around new people, so he'll need plenty of time to adjust and come to you on his own terms. Bonding through treats and not forcing interactions is a great way to help him feel more comfortable. Because of his fearful behavior, he is looking for a quiet home without young children. Lacky needs a family who is willing to move at his pace and provide him with the patience and care he needs to thrive. He does have moderate dental disease, so regular check-ins with the veterinarian for exams and cleanings are recommended to keep him healthy. With the right family, we expect Lacky will blossom into a loving and loyal companion. At SDHS:This pet has been vaccinated, microchipped and neutered. Lacky is now ready for his new home!Shy/Fearful Dog: This pet requires a virtual behavior consult, please watch THIS video to learn more about them.
