Story
Our sweet boy, Hank, needs a new home. He is 4 years old, and the sweetest dog you've ever met. He is big and loving and a very handsome boy. Unfortunately, he has IVDD which has injured his spinal cord. He did not need surgery, but he does need a lot of care and attention to get him back to walking on his own. He has deep pain sensation in his right hind leg, but is unable to move it. He has hip dysplasia requiring a right hip replacement 1.5 years ago. His left hind leg is weak, but he had already gained enough strength to stand on it on his own. We have to express his bladder multiple times per day, but before his incident (around Thanksgiving) he was house trained fully. He can hold his poop until you are ready to take him out, but has had accidents due to immobility. He will require a lot of love, but he will absolutely repay it in kind. We have a full harness and containment fence to keep him contained while he heals.

12/24/24- This is one hunk of a dog, his pictures do no justice. He is a very xx- large dog. Please make sure you can handle this large of a dog. He does occasionally pull on the leash. He was brought back to his original owner, they were going to take him to the dog pound. No fault of his own. He is a very mellow guy. He rides well in the car. He is enjoying the city life. He came from the country and his 2nd owners had no time as they were always at work. He enjoys children and loves everyone he meets so far. I left him in my front yard and walked away. He was over the fence in no time 4 & 1/2 feet. I can leave him him outside if I go inside my house. He will sit on the porch. Woodstock is a 5 year old male Poodle Mix with a snow white coat. He was found abandoned in the City of Gardena before being rescued by a Good Samaritan who brought him to Lovejoy. Woodstock is a sweet boy who loves to give kisses and go on walks. He is good with kids and other dogs. We hold an event every weekend at our facility on SATURDAY and SUNDAY 11-5pm and open to the public. It is first come first serve we do not evaluate applications prior to an event. If there are multiple interested parties in the same dog or puppy at the same time we would pick the best out of the 10 applications. Please visit our social media platforms for the specifics for each weekend as it changes from week to week. The Lovejoy Foundation, Inc. does not adopt beyond a 30 mile radius from our headquarters in Inglewood. COH Peaches is a 10 year old female Poodle Mix who was found as a stray in the City of Hawthorne. Little Peaches is a little lady with perfect manners who wants to curl in your lap.
