Story
*Cody is available for adoption from his foster home. If you may be interested in adopting him, please contact the shelter at (262) 677-4388 and ask for Kelly.*Intake Reason: surrendered due to litterbox issues which have since resolved.Known with:• Cats: Best with tolerant cats. Previously lived with several cats and was a bit of a bully. Lives with a 2yr male, 9yr male, and 16yr female in his foster home and does well. He mostly ignores them but does play with them on occasion by running around.• Dogs: Good. Previously lived with a senior large breed and did well. Lives with 9yr Papillon in his foster home and does well. He rubbed up against her and tried laying down next to her. He did play with a visiting puppy.• Kids: Best with respectful children. Lives with 4yr full time in foster and 2 & 3 year olds on the weekends. He walks away when he`s ready to be left alone.Personality: Cody is full of life, affection, and a love for laps to lay on. He is a Bengal, which is a breed known for being talkative, confident, intelligent, and social. They are best suited for homes that can manage their high activity level and chatty nature with regular enrichment.Cody will tell you all about his day, when he wants to go outside on his harness, when he is hungry, when he wants attention, and will get louder if ignored. He loves to explore the world and can often be found staring out a window.Cody quickly figured out that he prefers cardboard to scratch at rather than furniture. His new home should have plenty of cardboard scratchers for him to use. He is a smart guy who figured out how to train his humans to avoid nail trims and being picked up when he doesn`t want to. If you want to trim his nails or pick him up, you must get him to trust you first. Lots of love and repeated short bouts of the activity can help him learn that he can trust you.Cody is a true lap cat once he has chosen a person. Fair warning, he does like to lay on his person for nighttime snuggles when they`re trying to sleep.***Cody is on a prescription diet that has duck as the protein. He should remain on this food (or at least a chicken-free food). He does not like wet food or most human food, and is a grazer who prefers to eat small portions throughout the day.*****WCHS`s vet believes that Cody has a sensitive stomach and that is why he was having litterbox issues (defecating outside the
