Story
Meet Dr. Honeydew (f) and Beaker (m), a special pair of Bengal mix kittens looking for a home! They arrived as strays to a local shelter and our rescue pulled them because they needed specialized care. The kittens were diagnosed with ringworm, a rare parasite, fleas, and malnutrition, and Beaker was having a hard time walking on top of everything else.
Both kittens were understandably scared when they first arrived, but now that they have been here for a while, they’ve blossomed into the sweetest, snuggliest, silliest, most playful kittens. Considering their rough start, we are still working through a couple of medical issues with them, so we are searching for a foster-to-adopt home for them to complete their recovery in.
Here’s what we’re hoping for in their foster-to-adopt home:
Live on Long Island NY so we can work together to finish their treatment. If you are outside LI, but are willing to work with medical conditions, please still apply and we can chat more.
No other cats. As much as they love their feline friends, they have a medical condition that unfortunately do not allow them to be around other cats.
A family looking to adopt them as a pair, or if only adopting one, a home with a resident dog that enjoys cats.
The ability to provide lots of enrichment. They are high energy cats and love to play! They would most likely do great with kids, too.
Honeydew and Beaker have been through so much, but are a testament to the resiliency of animals! We will go over their medical needs in depth with potential adopters, but the first step is filling out an application at biscuitsandbreadsticks.org/adopt (don’t worry, it’s quick and easy!).
All Biscuits and Breadsticks kittens will be spayed/neutered, receive age appropriate vaccinations, and be microchipped prior to adoption.
