Life's been good to me so far. I hit the jackpot with my first family and was loved and appreciated by them for many years. Unfortunately, my human passed away, which is how I ended up in rescue. While I'm grateful for my foster family, I yearn for a permanent place. My speed and vibe at this stage and age is calm, relaxed, sweet, and friendly, and I'm looking for a peaceful home where I can unwind and chill. This means I'll do best in a home without dogs or small children. I get along well with humans and other cats, and enjoy affection and attention. Like other cats my age, I have a few easily treatable health conditions (asthma, IBD and pancreatic flares) which are managed well by medications. I'm an old pro at taking my meds, so you won't have any trouble medicating me - I'll make it easy on the both of us! By the time you meet us, we've already been spayed/neutered (if age-appropriate) and microchipped. We've been checked by a veterinarian, and we're up to date on age-appropriate immunizations against rabies and FVRCP (feline viral rhinotracheitis, calicivirus & panleukopenia). Flash came to us when his owner decided he needed someone to spend more time with him. We are wondering now if he isn't a Marble Bengal mix. He is highly active and an escape artist. He escaped our building and went up the tree with our bird feeders (first picture). He cannot be an outdoor cat but needs an enclosed patio, cat wheel, and/or tall climbers to keep him entertained. He is about 2 and is stunning. He gets along well with other cats and loves to be cuddled on his terms. If he doesn't like something he will growl to let you know but he's really quite gentle. Can you give him the right home with the enrichment he needs? * Our kitties are: Spayed/neutered (or provided a spay/neuter voucher for kittens too small for surgery), combo tested for Feline Leukemia and Feline Aids, up-to-date on vaccines (rabies vaccine when age appropriate), treated for parasites, and most have microchips. Tiny kittens go in pairs unless there's a companion animal already in the household. Our adoption fees are low. Most are $150 although some very desirable kitties may be slightly more. He is around 4 years old now; we adopted Rumi when he was about 6-8 weeks old. We got him from a rescue agency based out of Kentucky, he had been abused as a kitten and lost an eye, and had extensive surgery to recover from that. He’s been fine with us, requires no special care, and has had no medical issues with us (besides he ate a nerf dart once and we had to get it removed). He’s very cuddly, and loves people and loves to play. He’s a very energetic kitty. We love him, but we have a new baby in the house, and we aren’t able to give him as much attention as he needs unfortunately. He is healthy, and his shots are only out of date because we have not gotten the chance to bring him to the vet this year. He went early last year and received all of his shots then. He is such a warm and fun cat and is very resilient, he will be happy in any household that is willing to play with him and give him attention.
