Story
I would love to introduce you to little Bella! A gorgeous classic black tabby with fur that will remind you of silk and picturesque green eyes and although we are unable to confirm her parentage, we see Bengal breed characteristics and think beautiful Bella is a Bengal mix. Coming into rescue, Bella was naturally very scared and shy. It’s a completely new world for her to be loved and cared for but slowly she has recognized that being loved is a good thing! This past month Bella has really started to come out of her shell and not only enjoys affection and attention but demands it! Her communication skills are spot on and enjoys a good conversation with you. Pets and brushing are among the things highest on her loves list and while shes not yet an official lap cat, she does like to be close to you. Bella is FIV+ and although FIV is a lifetime diagnosis, she can easily live a long normal life with a few minor adjustments. Cats with FIV must live indoors and can happily live with other indoor, non-aggressive cats. Regular vaccinations, and treatment for fleas, mites, and worms are also important, so a yearly checkup is crucial to this loving girl. She recently had a checkup with our veterinarian and noted no health concerns. We think Bella would do best in a calm quiet home as either an only cat or with another gentle non-aggressive kittyn. Bella is truly an amazing girl with so much to give to a loving family. Bella is spayed, vaccinated, FELV tested, dewormed, microchipped, eats wet and dry food, and is litterbox perfect. She currently lives with her foster family in West Sacramento. Purebreds Plus Cat Rescue is dedicated to matching exceptional cats with qualified adopters who will cherish their pet and create an ideal forever home. If you believe you are the perfect adopter for Bella please tell us why in the comments section of our Adoption Application, and contact Ellen at garyreason@gmail.com or 916-743-8324. If you are unable to reach Ellen please email us at info@purebredsplus.org. NOTE: We prefer families with children bring them to the adoption appointment. Why? This allows interaction between the children and the cat. This helps ensure they will be a good fit for each other. A mismatch between a child and a cat is not in anyone's best interests!

Story
Raji and Lakshmi MUST be adopted together. There are NO exceptions. Adoption Fee: $350 for the pair Bengals in need of a new home as soon as possible due to a recent tragic disruption in their lives. Their elderly owner was hit by a car while using a crosswalk resulting in serious long term injuries. This devastating circumstance has made it impossible for these dear kitties to remain in their current home. Raji is a handsome purebred Brown Spotted Bengal and Lakshmi is a luxurious coated purebred Cashmere Bengal. They are a bonded pair and in need of a new home as soon as possible due this tragic disruption in their lives. A neighbor is currently seeing that they are fed and cared for in their home. Her daughters, who are visiting, have reassured their Mom that a good home will be found for them where they will be loved, cared for and spoiled in the manner to which they are accustomed. "Loved beyond Measure!" Raji is very social and affectionate and will capture your heart with his affectionate nature and those green Bengal eyes of his. One of the owner's daughters has shared this about him: "Raji, was so clingy and cuddly when my sister visited yesterday and was meowing super loudly when she left. Heartbreaking. I think he really misses my Mom, doesn't understand what happened, and needs people around more. He is not eating as much these days, but is so cuddly and sweet." Raji is harness and leash trained, loves to go for walks and spend time in the catio. This handsome guy is also perfectly happy to have a cozy warm spot in the house to relax and nap. He is very social, loves company, cuddles and is used to having his person(s) home most of the time. Gorgeous Lakshmi, is 2 years younger than Raji. She is a little 7 lb princess. She loves taking you in with her big luminous eyes, enjoys naps on soft blankets in the sunshine and receiving pets, loving attention from her owner and visitors of all ages. She is lovely with kids. These are healthy kitties, up to date on vaccines. We have all their vet records. They both eat canned and dry foods and use their litter box. We think they will do best as only pets in a quiet environment where someone is home most of the time. They are indoor cats that have access to an outdoor Catio enclosure. They've never been around dogs. If these two are tugging at your heartstrings, you love the Bengal breed, and would be able to provide a similar lifestyle they are accustomed to please reach out to us right away….. their beautiful world has been turned on end. They can hardly wait to meet you! Raji is neutered, vaccinated, FELV tested, microchipped, eats wet and dry food, and is litterbox perfect. He currently lives with his owner in West Sacramento. Purebreds Plus Cat Rescue is dedicated to matching exceptional cats with qualified adopters who will cherish their pet and create an ideal forever home. Their elderly owner was hit by a car while using a crosswalk resulting in serious long term injuries. This devastating circumstance has made it impossible for these dear kitties to remain in their current home.
Lakshmi is a luxuriously coated purebred Cashmere Bengal and Raji is a handsome purebred Brown Spotted Bengal. Lakshmi is a little princess weighing just 7 lbs. She is 2 years younger than 13 year old Raji. Lakshmi loves taking you in with her big luminous blue green eyes, enjoys naps on soft blankets in the sunshine receiving pets, and loving attention from her owner and visitors of all ages. She is lovely with kids. A neighbor is currently seeing that they are fed and cared for in their home. These are healthy kitties, up to date on vaccines. We have all their vet records. They both eat canned and dry foods and use their litter box.
We think they will do best as only pets in a quiet environment where someone is home most of the time. Raji and Lakshmi are basically indoor cats that have never been outdoors without 100% supervision. Taking Raji for walks and access to an outdoor Catio enclosure would be a plus for them. They've never been around dogs so we don't know how they would respond. Perhaps a laid back cat friendly dog would be okay. If these two are tugging at your heartstrings, you love the Bengal breed, and would be able to provide a simiilar lifestyle they are accustomed to please reach out to us right away….. their beautiful world has been turned on end, leaving them feeling lonely, and bewildered. Story
Meet Gene, an absolutely stunning 6 yr old male Bengal. Please read complete post before applying for the magnificent kitty. **Personality:** Gene is a charming and affectionate Bengal cat with a heart as big as his love for snuggles. Known for his striking leopard-like coat, Gene is both a beauty and a source of immense joy. Despite his wild ancestry, Gene has a very domestic and loving nature, making him the perfect lap cat for those quiet, cuddly moments. Gene is a talker, especially around the time he eats. He'll let you know when it is time for one of his 3 feedings. He eats both wet and dry food. **Favorite Activities:** - **Cuddles:** Gene loves nothing more than to curl up in a warm lap, purring contentedly. His soft fur and gentle demeanor make him an ideal companion for cozy evenings. - **Playing:** He has a playful spirit, particularly enjoying interactive play. His favorite toys are wand toys which mimic the movement of prey, satisfying his innate hunting instincts while providing excellent entertainment. Gene has an adorable head tilt that makes him a bit wobbly jumping down off of things. He has been to the vet and received a healthy report. **Living Preferences:** Gene is very particular about his living situation. He has expressed a strong preference for a home where he can be the sole feline resident. Gene thrives on being the center of attention and would feel most comfortable in an environment where his need for affection is not shared with another cat. **Ideal Home:** **No Other Cats:** Gene does not wish to share his space or the affection of his human family with another cat. He would do best in a home where he can reign supreme. **kids** Gene has not been around children but the owner believes he should be okay with older kids. 12 and up. **Affectionate Family:** A family that enjoys giving affection and spending time with their pets would be ideal. Gene's love for interaction and play would make him a wonderful companion for a household where someone is often home. If you're looking for a loyal, loving, and slightly mischievous feline friend who will greet you with love and playfulness, Gene is the perfect match. He promises to fill your home with joy and perhaps a few playful surprises. Remember, Gene is looking for a forever home where he can be your one and only feline companion. Gene is neutered, vaccinated, FELV tested, dewormed, microchipped, eats wet and dry food, and is litterbox perfect. He currently lives with his owner in Sacramento. Story
Every rescue is a story. This is part of the fascination of being in the rescue world. This young Bengal girl's story is a fairly unhappy story. Her breeder was trying for a different coat pattern and didn't like her look. Her unusual, dramatic dark coat pattern is call "Sheeted Marble". The breeder neglected her. He sold her at five months to a loving but inexperienced family who really didn't know how to be with her. The wife especially loved her. They got her spayed and she had free run in their home and was comfortable with the couple but she was wary of most people. Then a teenage child - from a previous divorce ? - came to live with them. She was highly allergic to Katrina. What to do? Long story short Katrina spent five months locked in a guest bathroom. The window was frosted. There was very little to do, very little company, very little room. Her mom tried to find a home for her. Someone recommended me to her. I was interested in Katrina but I was concerned about her temperament. I went with two kitty lovers to meet her. My friend sat in the cramped space on the floor and reached into her cubby and petted her head, her neck and even her paws! "She is not aggressive at all" she said. "This kitty is just scared." We took her into foster with us and home we went. We have had her now two and a half months. She came in depressed and remote. Very still. We gave her a room connected to a private catio. She didn't go out. So we waited. She ate and used her box. We know how resilient cats are. They recover from worse situations than Katrina had been in. (Though five months of isolation is a very long time for a young active girl.) Fairly soon she began to relate to us and started enjoying her life as a cat. And what a pleasure it was for us to watch her respond to attention and start showing her wonderful Bengal curiosity, playfulness and agility The photo's show how expressive her face is -sometimes interested, other times sad, or appealing, or confident and strong, or happy blissed out with a scritch under her chin. Her intelligence shows on her face. Katrina is a great cat. She is affectionate with people who she knows. She is shy with others. Katrina will blossom even more in her new home as she bonds with her own humans. Her family needs to be loving and patient with her. She will give you her whole heart and be forever grateful for the love you give her. She knows what loneliness is like. A wonderful new life is ahead for her. Katrina is spayed, vaccinated, FELV tested, dewormed, microchipped, eats wet and dry food, and is litterbox perfect. She is fostered by Harriet in Santa Cruz. Purebreds Plus Cat Rescue is dedicated to matching exceptional cats with qualified adopters who will cherish their pet and create an ideal forever home. If you believe you are the perfect adopter for Katrina please tell us why in the comments section of our Adoption Application, and contact Harriet at harrietluvskitties@yahoo.com If you are unable to reach Harriet please email us at info@purebredsplus.org. NOTE: We prefer families with children bring them to the adoption appointment. Why? This allows interaction between the children and the cat. This helps ensure they will be a good fit for each other. A mismatch between a child and a cat is not in anyone's best interests!
