Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Hi! I’m Mighty Mike, but my humans call me Mikey! I’m a very sweet and affectionate 4 year old shepherd mix. Here are some of the best things about me: - I’m the biggest cuddle bug you’ll ever meet. If there’s a lap to be sat on I want to sit in it! I just love snuggling up to my humans. - I love going on walks and going for drives (I’m great in the car!). I also love pup cups, treats, taking naps, and chewing on bones! - I’m fully crate and potty trained, plus I know basic commands, but I would love to work on some training to learn even more. I’m a bit of a jumping jelly bean but we’re working on that! - I’m eager to please and pick up on training really quickly -  I do great with other dogs as long as they’re not too rambunctious. I like to play some, but mostly just want to do my own thing. I'd love to go to a loving family who will include me in their activities. I love all humans that I meet and do really well around kids, but sometimes I can get overly excited, so a home with kids over 8 years old would be best for me. And no kitties for me, please! Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Hi new friends, my name is Harley the Good and I’m a sweet 7 year old lady, 57 lbs, looking for my forever family. I have a nice, moderate energy and a calm, independent demeanor. If you’re looking for a dog that doesn’t need to be in your lap all the time and doesn’t need a ton of exercise, I could be the girl for you! I am independent and pretty chill. I have a lot to offer. I am crate trained, potty trained and dog door trained. Foster mom thinks I would be good left out of the crate, too, because I don’t chew on naughty things or anything like that.  I’m a German Shepherd mix (maybe some Malinois in there, too) and that means I am very smart. I know the commands “sit” and “leave it” already. I am not allowed on foster mom’s couch, but I am allowed in the chair, and that only took me one day to figure out. Find me content, perched on my big comfy arm chair, looking out the window in my pictures. I love car rides and I’m well behaved in the car. I am good with other dogs with a slow calm introduction, altho I would be happy as an only doggo, too! I like humans a lot! I get very excited when we have human quests come over.  We don't know if I have been around toddlers, but I did great with a 6 yr old boy.  I love to follow you from room to room and find a spot to lay down and keep watch. Obviously, there are things I’m working, on, too. I am not great on leash…though I’m getting better. I was very worried about my food when I first came to Rescue Rovers. I was too skinny and I felt like I needed to protect my food from other dogs. But I’m doing pretty great with that now! I’ve learned a lot in a short period of time.  Funny things about me… I love ice cubes I use my nose a bunch!   My foster mom took me to try Barn Hunt and I was amazing! I would be a very fun sport dog. I hate headbands. I think selfies are really weird and I can’t figure out why humans want to do that. I’m ready to meet you. If you think I could be the girl for you apply to meet me today at https://bit.ly/RRAdoptionApplication  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.December 18, 2024, 5:49 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Hi there! My name is My Tye – I guess my mom had a cocktail too many when she picked my name. But everyone just calls me Tye so that’s ok. I’m a ~14-month-old German Shepherd and weigh 75 lbs. I haven’t really been taught anything before I came to my foster home, which is a shame because I’m a typical GSD: intelligent & curious, athletic & high-energy, and thriving when you give me something to do. I’ve learned so much in the few days I’ve been here and am eager to keep going.  I’m house trained and crate trained and sleep all through the night; except, of course, when there are burglars, but luckily, we didn’t have any yet. I fetch balls even when you try to hide them and love to play with my toys. My favorite game is playing tug-of-war. And I have already learned to run through an agility tunnel! I’m still learning to walk on a leash. I love going on car rides and am learning to sit and wait when the door is opened. Once I’m worn out, I love to snuggle and hang out close to you.  I’m good with other large dogs but still a bit of an oaf and need to learn proper behavior around other dogs. I didn’t have interaction with small dogs yet. Same thing with kids: I’m good with the teenager in my home but haven’t met any little kids.  I’m looking for an active family with GSD or high-energy, large dog experience, with a strong commitment to training and socialization so I can become the awesome German Shepherd that is hiding in me. If you think I’m the right companion for you, please apply to meet me at https://bit.ly/RRAdoptionApplication Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 7, 2024, 8:02 pm
