Story
Jack is a TRUE survivor!!! A kind person found Jack seeking refuge in someone's front yard. He was skinny and his left hind leg was very swollen and he was limping. The samaritan contacted us and Jack was taken to the vet right away. Long story short: He had a completely shattered femur and the specialist who performed the surgery, thinks that Jack had been hit by a car and that the injury had been about 1 month old. Can you imagine, Jack survived on the streets for a month in immense pain! That is history now, Jack had surgery at one of the best clinics in Los Angeles area and he's healing amazingly! Jack is gaining weight and is now a healthy boy! He's had his mandatory rechecks after surgery and the leg is healing wonderfully. He's very young (about a year old) and has the puppy energy. We are looking for a calm, adult household with yard access for Jack. Jack seems to like other dogs (close to his size) so he could go into a home with another dog so that they can play after he's completed his healing process. Jack is your typical Shepherd, very big personality, sweet goof ball but he can get protective over his people, so we are looking for someone who is relaxed and doesn't have a lot of traffic in and out of the home. Jack loves to give kisses, he constantly wags his tail and would love to have his forever person/family to bond with. Meet Luci ❤️Luci is a 3-year-old German Shepherd/Belgian Malinois mix who is smart, well-trained, and incredibly loyal. She knows her commands, walks beautifully on a leash, and loves being close to her people. She also has a soft side—she adores stuffed animals and has a favorite blankie. Luci does great with other dogs and enjoys companionship.We love her deeply, so this decision hasn’t been easy. We want to be honest: Luci has some anxiety and recently bit our 5-year-old. While this was an isolated incident, it showed she isn’t comfortable around young children or unpredictable movement.Luci needs an adult-only home or one with older, calm teens, and a patient, structured environment.She is not a bad dog—just a sensitive one who needs the right fit. In the right home, she will be a deeply devoted companion.Please reach out if you feel you could be the right home for Luci.
