Don't you want to adopt a well trained young lady?! Quick Facts: Age - 2yrs old Home - ideally a home with a fenced in yard, no apartment or condo Kids - Would do better with teenagers, no little kids Dogs - Good with large males Cats - NO cats Training - ongoing obedience training to bond with new owner 1. I came to the rescue months ago and since all of my babies have been adopted I've been waiting for my turn. 2. I'm an athletic gal; I would love to go on runs, hikes, swimming, or grand adventures. I also love other puppers & having a playmate to go do outdoorsy things with. 3. Even tho I am athletic and outdoorsy, I do love the couch-princess lifestyle. I love lounging in front of a cool fan. If you keep your thermostat above 75 degrees, swipe left. 4. Some of my favorite activities include working on my tan in the pool, reading juicy rom-com books, cuddling up on the couch to watch action movies, and I love trying new cuisines. 5. If you are looking for an independent gal, one who has her 'ish' together, house trained, always down for adventures or cuddles, and will love you for eternity - I'm your gal! My name is Petra and I'm a beautiful 2-4yr old German Shepherd. I'm located near Greeneville TN and available for transport. Quick Facts: Age - 2-4yr old Home - ideally a home with a fenced in yard, no apartment or condo Kids - Okay with older kids (12+) Dogs - Good with large males, NO females or small dogs Cats - NO cats Training - Needs standard basic & advanced obedience training & a strong owner 1. I was rescued from a scary shelter by my wonderful foster mom. I have no idea why I was dumped there but I'm thankful to be with IDGSR waiting to find my forever home. 2. I have a lot of energy and love to play! I would love to have a safe fenced in backyard to run and play in. 3. I would absolutely love to go on adventures! Do you like walking, hiking, running, swimming, or chasing waterfalls? Me too! Let's go on cool trips together, especially this fall! 4. I’m very smart and would really love some obedience training. It’s fun and I get to use my brain. Will you paw-promise to train me to my fullest potential? 5. My ideal home is with someone who has prior German Shepherd experience, no first time GSD owners please. I would do fine with a confident male doggo. 6. I need to *avoid* homes with cats, small dogs, and female dogs. 7. If you are looking for a fun, energetic, smart and loving companion - I'm your girl! Story
IDGSR Welcomes SHASTA into the safety of the rescue!! THIS DOG IS FOSTERED IN TENNESSEE & AVAILABLE FOR TRANSPORT ************** Happy Holidays! My name is Shasta and I'm a 5-6yr old female German Shepherd. I am located near Greeneville TN and will be available for transport. Quick Facts: Age - 5-6yr old Home - ideally a home with a fenced in yard, no apartment or condo Kids - Would do well with kids (12+) Dogs - Good with large males, no females or small dogs Cats - NO cats Training - Needs standard obedience training I want to share my back story with you so you get a better understanding of my personality. I was rescued from a hoarding case. I lived my life on a short chain, with no shelter, no adequate food or water. I was strictly used for breeding, had numerous litters of puppies, and wasn't treated with any love or care. When I was being rescued, my former owner hit me on the head with a cast iron skillet!! I have a bump on my head now but the vet tells me it will get better in time. 1. Despite my awful upbringing, I am a nice girl. I've never gotten to experience love, kindness, or even basic needs. The rescue has been wonderful for me to heal and now I'm ready to a forever loving home. 2. I would love to have a fenced in yard to explore in and a comfy bed to rest on. I don't require much because I've never had anything nice, if you can give me a good life, I will be forever grateful. 3. I would do best as either an only dog or with a confident male dog. I must be the only female dog in the home. It's also best that I avoid homes with small dogs and cats. 4. Now that I'm feeling much better, I love to jog in the backyard, check out what's going on, and have the occasional play time with one of the male foster dogs. 5. I've never spent a holiday with a loving person or family, I heard it's one of the most special times of the year. I hope you have a place in your heart & on your couch for a middle aged gal like me!
