Meet Rumi! This sweet girl came into MAD as an owner surrender.  She was found as a stray and the owners responsibly realized that they were not a good fit.  Rumi is roughly 5 months old and is thought to be a Belgian Tervuren/GSD mix.  Rumi is super sweet with a side of sas.  Stay tuned as we learn more about this beauty!  To apply to adopt, please fill out the application by clicking on the Adopt button or ask for this dog to be added to your existing application. All MAD dogs come with a series 3 Fi Collar and a six-month subscription.  We are an official 501c3 organization that does not have a physical location. Our home address is in Michigan, however, the majority of our dogs are not located in Michigan. The physical location of each our our dogs is posted with the name of the pet or in the title area. If you are within 4 hours of the pet, please be prepared to pick the pet up. We do provide transport assistance up to 350 miles. The applicant must drive the remainder of the distance of the transport.  The basic information that we have available is in our posting, but sometimes fosters and adoption counselors will post updates on the MAD Rescue Facebook page as well, https://www.facebook.com/groups/malinoisanddutchshepherdrescueinc. Meet Rex 🐶💙—a resilient, affectionate boy with a heart as big as his incredible spirit! Rex was born with congenital megaesophagus, which means he needs to be fed upright in a Bailey chair so his food can safely reach his stomach. He does great with this routine and thrives on a high-quality, nutrient-dense diet, currently The Farmer’s Dog, which has been working wonderfully for him. Rex will need lifelong management, including special feeding routines, possible medications, and regular veterinary checkups to help him feel his best. While this condition may shorten his lifespan, Rex doesn’t let that dim his joy—he’s a loving, social dog who adores spending time with people, soaking up attention, and greeting each day with enthusiasm. Rex is looking for a dedicated adopter who can continue his care and give him the warm, supportive home he truly deserves 🏡❤️ ✨ Bailey chair will be sent home when adopted ✨ - Around 3 years old - Currently just under 75lbs - Good with kids, prefers a slow introduction to dogs and cats. - Adoption fee: $350 To inquire about this dog, please email dogs@adoptapetfenton.com. Future vaccines, tests, and treatments will be the responsibility of the adopter.
