You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.I can't say enough about Blue Nova. Just look at this precious girl, she's not only beautiful and sweet she's smart and oh so loving&#226&#157&#164 Her foster mama says "when she loves you she loves you hard" Blue Nova, is professionally trained so she needs an experienced owner that is willing to keep up her skills. She's a wonderful playmate with the puppies that come into our rescue, but as all dogs proper intro is required. Blue Nova, thrives on love and attention so we would prefer her to be with someone that can provide her with unconditional love. She wants to be your cuddle bug and protector, she loves her people immensely. She's a big strong dog who doesn't realize her size. Because of her strength she would do best in a home with no young children. She loves hiking, playing fetch and loves to swim. Are you a pack leader, who can provide Blue Nova with love and structure? Because this is what Blue Nova needs to thrive! If you live in San Diego County or surrounding areas, have a home with a yard and a minimum of a 6ft fence and would love to meet this awesome girl then please complete our adoption application at www.tlck9rescue.org Thank you TLC K9 RescueVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 16, 2024, 11:57 am

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.I'm determined to find this absolutely delightful boy a wonderful home. Luke, a 2-year-old German Shepherd mix, has endured more hardship than most will ever know. Abandoned on the streets, he was discovered by my foster with burns on his backside—a tragic testament to the cruelty some animals face. It’s incomprehensible to me why anyone would want to harm such a majestic creature, filled with love and resilience. Despite his past, Luke’s spirit shines brightly, embodying the very essence of hope and kindness. What makes Luke even more special is his selflessness. This precious boy donated two pints of his blood without a struggle to help save the life of one of my other small rescue dog who would have died without Luke’s help and I believe he knew it. Witnessing his bravery and compassion in such a challenging moment cemented my commitment to finding him a loving family that will cherish him for the incredible soul he is. Luke is playful with larger dogs, showcasing his exuberance, yet he remains calm and gentle around small dogs and even cats. His gentle disposition and loving nature show that he truly deserves a second chance at life—a chance filled with love, laughter, and the warmth of a forever home.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 5, 2024, 9:16 pm

Story
How this pet arrived:Cornelia was brought in by our Humane Law Enforcement Team on 2/13/2024. At SDHS:Cornelia is vaccinated, microchipped and spayed. She is now ready for her new home! Here is an update on how Cornelia is doing in foster:Meet Cornelia! This energetic and intelligent pup is full of personality and cuddles, ready to find a home that can keep up with her active and loving spirit! She thrives on two 30-minute walks a day and backyard playtime, but her love for speedy digging means supervision is a must. Her health is managed with prescription food, probiotics, and medications for anxiety and occasional digestive issues. While her cycles of diarrhea are improving, she requires a strict food routine and occasional short-term treatment when it flares up. She's also improving in her house manners, with no accidents for five weeks and decreasing incidents of chewing or ripping items. On leash, she's mostly well-behaved but can occasionally lunge after passing cars, bikes, or runners, so vigilance is key. While she has shown some leash reactivity with certain dogs, she can also calmly ignore others during walks. This clever girl has already mastered waiting at doors and is eager to keep learning. She's sensitive during medical visits, so a sedative is necessary for her comfort. With her big heart, smarts, and zest for life, she's looking for a patient and committed family to help her shine and provide the structure and love she needs to thrive.Email for details: Cornelia is available for adoption in a foster home.
