Adoptable in: MA, RI, NH, CT, and VTGood with dogs: YesGood with cats: Unknown, likely noGood with kids: Yes, dog-savvy childrenCrate trained: YesHouse Trained: YesOtto is a beautiful boy with a sweet, playful spirit! He is a medium energy dog who is hoping for a family who wants to include him in all the fun! He’s happy to attend weeknight soccer practice, movie nights, brewery weekends and all the adventures in between. Otto is currently fostered in a multidog household and loves playing with other dogs. He takes other dogs cues well, and entertains himself with toys when his doggy friends are all done playing. With his playful nature he would likely not be a great fit for cats. He has a larger-than-life personality, loves everyone, and wants everyone to love him back. The word “stranger” isn’t in Otto’s vocabulary as he makes friends everywhere he goes. Otto has done wonderfully meeting children; he sometimes forgets his size, so dog-savvy children would be best for him. He’s super sharp, conquering new skills with lightning speed, he has already mastered sit and walks like a champ on leash. Otto is fully house and crate trained. He sleeps soundly in his crate overnight and can be crated throughout the day. He is looking for a loving family to continue to teach him new tricks and give him a whole lot of love. Otto would make a wonderful companion, and can’t wait to be part of a family. If you’re looking for an insanely good-looking dog with loads of potential, choose Otto! Please Note: All dogs are posted on our website until they are officially adopted. This dog may have other interested adopters in line. If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an application on our website at www.lasthopek9.org. Story
Happy is a special guy with some unique looks to match. He is pretty good at making human friends and has a history of being really social and snuggly with his previous family. Happy has lots of energy and is looking for a family that can help keep his brain and body active and is a committed to using positive training methods to help him be his best self. While Happy has a nice history of making dog friends, he doesn`t always know the best way to introdcue himself, so he will need help working on his greetings. Happy would likely do best in an quiet neighborhood where he can focus on himself! If you think this dog could be a good match for your home and would like to learn more, stop by our Boston Adoption Center. We have open adoption hours Tuesday-Sunday from 12pm-3pm – no appointment needed to speak to a staff person regarding available dogs. Preparing your home for your new dog or puppy ahead of time can help ease the transition for your new pet and set you both up for success should there be a dog that’s a good match! To learn more about how to make the first few weeks with your new dog or puppy the most successful it can be, please visit www.mspca.org/petresources. For more information on our adoption process, please visit https://www.mspca.org/adoption-centers/how-to-adopt/ Please note, in an effort to keep the stress levels reduced for the dogs in our care, our dog kennel areas will not be open to walk through. Interested adopters will work with a matchmaker on staff to determine which dog(s) they’re interested in - and if we can identify a match, potential adopters will be able to meet those dogs outside of the kennel. Cat and small animal areas will remain open to walk through.
