Story
Little Bear is an incredibly sweet and loving dog but he had a rough start to life. His first two years were in a hoarding situation with about 20 other dogs and not a lot of human contact. He is great with other dogs, but has had to learn a lot about humans. Now he knows how to play, to walk on a leash, and basic commands. The reason I want to rehome him is that he has nipped or air snapped a few times in his attempt to guard his space or food. My daughter in law was already afraid of dogs and this doesn’t help. I think he would be a lovely pet if you knew what triggers just to avoid, don’t use your hands to push him off a spot where he is laying and don’t push him away from food, use words instead. Professional training would also be a good idea. Bear is a wonderful dog in so many ways. He is super sweet, he thinks he is a lapdog, he is smart, and doesn’t shed a huge amount. He is high energy and does needs space to run. He is 40 lbs and had his vaccinations in late December.
