Story
We are reaching out to you because there is a special girl in our shelter who could really use your help. Peach, as we affectionately call her, is currently at a disadvantage and we want to change that. She may come across as tough or scared when meeting new people, but deep down, she is just shy and in need of some support and understanding. Peach has made incredible progress since she first arrived at the shelter. Initially timid and unsure, she has blossomed into the sweetest and most loving girl you could imagine. Her confidence has grown, and she now adores the company of other dogs. In playgroups, she showers her furry friends with gentle hugs and kisses, showcasing her affectionate nature. Peach truly lives up to her name, as she has a quiet and gentle soul that would fit perfectly into a home with other dogs to keep her company. Miss Peach has captured the hearts of our staff with her adorable personality. Although she may be a bit shy at first, she is incredibly friendly towards other dogs. She has also shown great progress on a leash, improving day by day. However, it's important to note that Peach will require a tall fence, as she has attempted to jump our 7ft fence during playgroup sessions. Despite her playful antics, she is a true sweetheart who adores giving soft hugs and kisses. Peach's gentle and reserved nature in her kennel shows that she is ready to find a loving home where she can continue to grow and thrive.   https://youtube.com/shorts/jaEAcmA6t1M?feature=share Playgroup - https://youtube.com/shorts/fwKAk2d1gYE?feature=share Taking treats with dog - https://youtube.com/shorts/yPIVIJvsLiM?feature=share Playing with another dog - https://youtube.com/shorts/qnR2HkUBxkQ?feature=share Playgroup - https://youtube.com/shorts/NBWz3fG1nO8?feature=share Playgroup - https://youtube.com/shorts/iDvGelyRZYo?feature=share Playgroup - https://youtube.com/shorts/wbiOlWzRj6w?feature=share Peach giving hugs! - https://youtube.com/shorts/wbiOlWzRj6w?feature=share Playgroup - https://youtube.com/shorts/QEeQkRPht-A?feature=share Christmas Peach! - https://youtube.com/shorts/ujMCNiOmE6o?feature=share Playgroup - https://youtube.com/shorts/SQMf3fy97KY?feature=share ##1910792##

Story
SHE WAS EXPOSED TO DRUGS BUT IS ON THE MEND To adopt or foster: www.denkaisanctuary.org/adopt Meet Sami Jo, a delightful one-year-old Elkhound mix weighing in at 36 pounds. This sweet girl has been spayed and is ready to find her forever home. When she first arrived, Sami Jo had dilated eyes and struggled to focus, leading the vet to suspect she may have been under the influence of drugs. Thankfully, after receiving the necessary veterinary care, she is now on the mend and feeling much better. If you're in search of a lively companion, Sami Jo is the perfect match! This playful and affectionate pup has a knack for bringing joy to any situation, whether it's a lively dance session in the living room or a cozy night spent cuddling on the couch. Sami Jo thrives on human interaction, showering her friends with hugs and belly rubs. Her playful spirit extends to her canine companions as well, as she greets them with gentle boops and sweet kisses, making her a wonderful addition to any dog-loving household. Sami Jo is not only charming but also quite intelligent, with a strong motivation for treats that makes training a breeze. She enjoys the company of other dogs and would be thrilled to have a furry sibling to share her adventures with. While she can be a bit curious when left alone, it's important to keep an eye on her during outdoor playtime, as she might dig in an attempt to stay close to her loved ones. If you're looking for a loyal, loving, and entertaining friend, Sami Jo is eager to meet you and become a cherished part of your life! ##2284689##

Story
Experiencing the loss of a loved one due to their unfortunate decisions can be an incredibly daunting ordeal, especially when it leads to an unfamiliar environment filled with uncertainty. Poor Brody, a remarkably handsome dog, finds himself in such a situation, appearing quite withdrawn in his new surroundings. However, there’s a glimmer of hope; when the topic of belly rubs arises, he momentarily pauses, contemplating the delightful prospect of such affection, hinting at the potential for joy that still resides within him. Brody's past is a heartbreaking tale of neglect, having spent his days chained to a tree in his former home. He was denied the warmth and comfort of being indoors, forced to endure cold nights while tethered, with little chance of a brighter future. This breed thrives on activity and companionship, and the emotional scars from his previous treatment will require time and patience to heal. It’s essential for him to learn that he is worthy of love, capable of independent thought, and deserving of a fulfilling life. Fortunately, Brody is beginning to show signs of improvement, thanks to the enticing allure of hot dogs and an abundance of kindness from those around him. He walks well on a leash and has shown a friendly disposition towards both puppies and female dogs. With plans for his neutering on the horizon, we are optimistic that he will continue to make significant progress. Finding a compassionate foster home would greatly aid in his recovery journey, allowing him to flourish in a nurturing environment. If you feel you could provide such a home, we encourage you to visit our website at www.denkaisanctuary.org to fill out an application for fostering or adopting Brody. ##2289765##
