Story
We acquired our pet from a man who owned her the majority of her life, who's schedule could no longer support her. We took her on to give her a good home and now we are in the same position of our schedules not being able to accommodate Mya in the way she needs. She's a purebred, she's very protective, she does good staying in and outside of the home. She's getting older and we just want a loving owner to take her on to give her the attention that she deserves.

Kobe 801-941-2288Name is Axe! I am 2 years old and love to lay and cuddle with my people. I am super good in my kennel! Not the best with other dogs as I was attacked by one once but I’m sure with right training I could do good.

Story
The list goes on and on about all the amazing qualities Miss Sable brings to the table. I don’t think there is enough writing space to list it all out but we’ll try. First things first! You have to know how much Sable loves people and affection! Sable is a people-lover through and through, always seeking attention and affection from those around her. Watch her video and you’ll see exactly what we are talking about!! https://youtu.be/R-chtCDuXtw?si=Z2MDXaHwD0FF21fK Did you see what we mean?! Sable is a people’s dog and potentially even a family dog. She is so patient and gentle with kids. In her eyes, any affection is good affection. She was with kids as young as 4 years old to 14 years old and was a gentle queen letting them hug on her, brush her, dress her up, etc. I’m sure she would have let them paint her nails too if it led to that. So if that video didn’t seal the deal, let me tell you a little bit more about Sable and why you should adopt her. You already know she’s great with kids and is so gentle with them but she is also incredibly smart and savvy! She is the type of dog that you could teach any trick and she would get the gold star buzzer from the America’s Got Talent judges. She’s that smart!! So if you love training and teaching your new dog some cool tricks, you need to adopt Sable. It would also be in her best interest for her adopter to have a general knowledge and understanding about her suspected breed. We believe Sable is a Belgian Malinois mix approximately 5 years old and currently weighs 55lbs and is full grown. She is a rescue dog and with any rescue, it’s always a mystery and we cannot guarantee breed or age. Sable is potty and crate trained and can go at least 14 hours overnight without any accidents nor do you hear a peep out of her! She truly is a lady. Sable loves to explore and she’s the best companion to take on adventures and to take for walks. She is gentle on a leash, only pulling every so often when she gets excited about something but responds so beautifully to corrections. You’ll catch her checking in with you from time to time on her walks as well. Sable is also a lady when she passes by other dogs when she is out and about. A quick hello and she’s off exploring the next sniff spot. She has a perfectly balanced energy where she can join you for hikes, adventures, long walk or even a run. Then after will be the most relaxed girly at home snuggling on the couch with you watching tv or laying by your feet chewing on a toy. She’s got the whole package! She even loves to go socialize at events! So if you’re a person that wants to be able to take your pup to the coffee shop, pickle ball, or even a sports grill/restaurant to watch Sunday football or meet with some friends. She is the perfect date. Sable is dog friendly and even does fantastic around small dogs and puppies. Sable met our small dog tester Mateo who is about 11 lbs and she was so relaxed, happy and at ease around him. Mateo was very comfortable around her too. He will typically lay down and act like he doesn't exist around a dog that he's not comfortable with and that was not the case with Sable. He enjoyed being around her. They walked with each other, respected each others space, shared toys, and food was dropped as well with no issues. So if you have a small dog that you want a companion for, Sable is your gal! She has been in many play groups but isn’t too interested in playing with other dogs. She’d much rather be loving on her person or learning a new trick. If you don't have other dogs, that's fine too. She would be happy being your one and only having all of the attention to herself. We also recommend a cat free home for Sable as well. She was a little too interested and wanted to play chase with our house cat Tom and no kitty would enjoy that. Sable would love a home that has a backyard where she can romp around when she pleases, soak up the sun on a relaxing day, and to hangout with her new family. We are willing to test Miss Sable with anything you need us to in order to ensure she is the perfect match for you! We can make anything happen! Just let us know. If you're ready to welcome an outgoing and loving companion into your life, Sable is eager to meet you and show you just how special she is Application link https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/62cc8e128b02916730334440/664c1374b87f4b0cd7071a53 Please email jacquelynn@threelittlepittiesrescue.org with any questions! Why adopt from Three Little Pitties? The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. This dog you’ve found online is lucky to be in our program, and even luckier to have you notice it! Three Little Pitties wants to set you and your new pet up for success! We know our dogs and we work hard to prepare them socially for adoption. We are a network of dedicated people who are heavily invested in seeing our animals thrive. From the moment they are accepted into our program, our Intake, Behavior & Medical teams prepare them for adoption by properly vetting, behaviorally assessing, and providing customized plans depending on the dog’s needs. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these special perks: • 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion (must register within 24 hours of first vet appt.) • A free private online dog training session with GoodPup plus low pricing for future sessions (approx $25 weekly for an 8 week course of one session per week) • One free bonus toy in every BarkBox when signing up for their Super Chewer subscription plan • 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a PNW based, organic fresh dog food loaf meal subscription plan • Coupons for a fun visit to Petco • Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! We celebrated our 5 year anniversary this year! Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 12,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be saved in that spot. Together, we can be heroes. Follow our rescue journey through the links below! https://www.threelittlepittiesrescue.org/ https://www.facebook.com/threelittlepittiesrescue https://www.instagram.com/threelittlepittiesrescue *Due to the rising cost of fuel and transportation expenses, there will be an additional $74 surcharge for transport. Story
**Fostered in Hillsboro, OR and ready for meet and greets!** The softest, downy-like fur, and never-ending cuddles, are what you will get if you adopt Aksel. This smart boy is extremely loving and sweet, very smart, and sure to make an excellent pack or family member. At just 3 months old, this black-masked cutie weighs about 15 lbs. We think he may be a Malinois or GSD mix, but with rescue it's always a guess. Right now he's the perfect age and size to cuddle in your lap while you work (one of his favorite things to do) or watch movies. He is a A+ napper and snuggler! Fall in love here: https://youtu.be/JMgszJculac?feature=shared Aksel LOVES all people and is a social butterfly. He has been socialized well around all kinds of people, including young kids. He is currently living in a foster home with a 14yo and a 4yo kid, and he adores them both. He does still jump up for attention so will need to work on those manners. He adores other dogs and happily shares his toys with his doggy friends. He will even cuddle up with his foster doggy siblings at nap time. He plays respectfully with the other dogs and isn't a pest to them, but can get rough and rowdy, and vocal, when he plays. He hasn't lived with cats before, but he's young enough to learn. He loves all kinds of toys, especially stuffed toys and squeaky toys. They will keep him busy! Aksel is very food motivated and smart, but needs to work a little on his ability to wait. He listens well though and stops when you tell him no if he's doing something he shouldn't. He sleeps quietly in his crate at night and settles after just a few minutes of whining. Potty training is still ongoing but he's making great progress. He will need to go out every hour during the day and a couple times at night, until he gets the full hang of it. Aksel will do best in a home with a fenced yard where he can run and play daily. He can be vocal at times, so an apartment won't be the right fit for him. He would do great as part of a pack, or as an only pup, and he'd be happy living with kids too. He will do best in a home where someone will be home a lot, at least at first, while he gets settled with potty training and learning his basic commands and manners. Aksel is still young so he will need a family that can commit to training, socialization and all the dedication puppyhood requires. His new family will need to continue with potty and crate training and daily exercise. You will be guaranteed to get lots of kisses in return from your new best friend! Don't hesitate to apply, he won't be available for long. A dog this smart, confident, social, and snuggly will get scooped up fast! This is the feedback we tend to get, although we cannot guarantee perfect health. *To fully vet a dog in the PNW or the NE at many vets it would be upwards of $1,800 just to fix, vaccinate, chip, etc. The adoption fees charged by our rescue do not cover our expenses medically for each animal, but we offset costs with donations. Your adoption fee is considered a donation towards actual costs. Why adopt from Three Little Pitties? The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is the highest in the nation. Story
Meet Gracie, a 3-year-old German Shepherd who is the perfect mix of affection, playfulness, and devotion. She's an overall confident and happy dog who wants to share her love with you. Gracie loves being outside, going for walks and she LOVES to play. A fenced yard and rousing game of fetch brings her great joy - she'll drop her ball at your feet and gaze at you with those soulful eyes while patiently waiting for you to take your turn. Treats are not a big thing for her but she is motivated by toys. Gracie is a stunning beauty at 65 pounds - she's physically and mentally strong, and needs humans who will continue to teach her how to walk politely on leash and who will keep her brain occupied through mental activities. She sometimes forgets her house manners and will try to get on a counter or other high surface, but she's a good listener who takes correction well. Gracie absolutely loves her people and she promises that you will be the apple of her eye, and asks that she be yours in return. She does not like to share your attention with other animals, and should be the only pet in the home. Gracie is fully house trained and crate trained, and quiet in the house. If you're looking for a canine companion to share your life with, Gracie is ready to become your steadfast and loving friend. To meet Gracie, please fill out an online application at http://caws.org/adoption-application. Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-serve basis. We strive to find the perfect home for each animal. Applications may take up to 48 hours to process. All CAWS animals are fixed, microchipped, and vaccinated. Her adoption fee is $200. Story
Don't let his name fool you, Bunnie is actually a dog ---- a 6-year-old German Shepherd Dog to be precise! True to his adorable namesake, he does bound around the yard like a puppy when he's happy. Bunny is 85 pounds of gentleness, a good boy who loves attention and affection, and is equally playful and easy going. True to his German Shepherd nature, he is protective over his people/person, and will require additional training to help him expand his social circle. Bunny is crate trained and house trained, gets along well with dogs around his size, and is best suited for a home with older children. Cats are unknown. Bunny enjoys regular walks, time in the yard and going for rides in the car. He also loves to be brushed and will nuzzle his head into his people when he wants affection. Story
Meet this sensitive girl whose heart is bigger than her adorable ears. She is estimated to be a 2 year old German Shepherd Dog. She LOVES to play (and play and play). She's an affectionate goofball with endless enthusiasm who deserves to live her greatest adventure yet. Roxy can be shy/fearful with new people. She is very friendly when people give her the time and space to go at HER pace to get comfortable. When someone imposes themselves on her quicker than what she feels safe with, she may fearfully react. Roxy's foster parents will work with her new family to have a smooth, low-stress, incremental transition for her so that everyone is set up for success. In order to be considered as the future protector of her heart, below are the must-haves: -A fenced-in yard with plenty of open space -An active home with at least 1 other active dog to help her burn energy and save both your and her sanity -Someone home most of the day -A 'controlled' environment that does not have 'strangers' going in and out. See more about Roxy here! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D_m4RvCK0JoDogs are not placed on a first-come first-serve basis.
