Story
Ty is a purebred Belgian melon Wah puppy, who came to us from a small shelter in the Houston area. He has all his three rounds of puppy vaccinations and has been neutered and micro chipped. He is heartworm negative and is on heartworm prevention. He weighs around 60 pounds and is 8 1/2 to 9 months old. He is extremely friendly and loves other dogs. His current foster family has one cat who he doesn’t seem reactive with, but would need to be more thoroughly tested with cats. he is extremely friendly with all people, but is very active as a young malinois and could knock over small children. He definitely needs an experienced handler and will need basic obedience training. He is crate trained. Please contact savapetwac@yahoo.com for an application. Story
Meet Lucy Lucy is a 1.5-2 year old Belgian Malinois. She came to us from an area high kill shelter and was on death row. Once we met her we fell in love with this gorgeous sweet girl and took her into our rescue group. She is fully vetted, microchipped, and spayed. Lucy is an amazing, sweet girl with moderate energy/drive. She will do best with an owner who has experience with Malinois and GSDs and in positive dog training. She is crate and potty trained. You must be approved to adopt through our group before meeting any of our adoptable dogs. Please note that this is a volunteer based group and NOT a SHELTER. Most of our dogs are in foster homes. There may be delays in application processing answering emails etc. because we all have demanding full time jobs, families, and foster dogs/puppies to care for. please email savapetwac@yahoo.com for an application. We require an application before meeting any of our adoptable dogs. The adoption fee is $200. Tax deductible

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. ____________________________________________________________ Hedy Barton and Marcia ToksonRoxie – 3-Year Old Female Malinois in Connecticut   Roxie is looking for an adoptive home or a foster to adopt home.  She is a 3-year old female who will be spayed in her foster home.  She is up to date on her shots and heartworm negative.    Roxie is a big, active girl and weighs about 55 pounds.  She is exuberant and needs to learn manners.  She is housebroken and apparently good in the apartment of her owner when left alone.   Roxie is friendly with people and children (ages 10 and up only as she is big and bouncy) .  She has been tested several dogs – male and female – and has always been reactive.  For this reason, Roxie must go to a home where she is the only pet.  The foster or adoptive home would be encouraged to work with her on her interactions with male dogs her own size as it is possible that she may improve with careful exposure.  Roxie also has high prey drive for squirrels and small animals so cannot be placed in a home with cats or small animals.    She is an active girl who benefits from hour-long walks and exercise. She loves car rides and can be left in the car without tearing anything up or getting into trouble.  She settles calmly in the house and likes balls, sticks and tug, but I would not call her a dog with super-high ball drive.  She is not noise sensitive and appears to have good nerves.  Roxie would do best in a home with a large, fenced yard, or with a person who will exercise with daily walks and runs, being cognizant that she may be aggressive with female dogs and small dogs.  (There is some feeling that this issue may be tempered and/or resolved when she is spayed but we cannot assume that this will be the case.)   We also do NOT know if Roxie can be crated as the person who has her now has never tried acclimating her to a crate.  Roxie appears to be a good girl who is attached to the person who is currently caring for her and does try to please.  She needs careful oversight in her interactions with other dogs as well as guidance; training and eventual placement.   A photo and a video are included. Can you give this girl a chance to develop her full potential as a loving companion? Time is of the essence for Roxie as it is uncertain as to how much longer her current home can keep her.   If you would like to help give Roxie a chance by fostering her, please contact Hedy Barton (HedyL@aol.com). Story
Sweet girl Alexa was almost euthanized at the shelter because of lack of space, when she was rescued by her foster mom. Alexa is such a lovely girl - quiet, obedient, good with cats, dogs, people, kids. She is truly a gem, who deserves the best home possible. She lives with four cats and ten dogs. She has no interest in cats and does not chase. Alexa loves getting petted. She is very affectionate and can live with or without other dogs, as she is velcro. She maybe full German. shepherd, so shepherd experience is highly recommended. Alexa is about 13 months old, 65 lb, fully vetted, current on vaccination, and is spayed and microchipped. She is kept on heartworm and flea preventatives. Alexa is currently being fostered in Houston, but can travel to any state, even Canada to the right home. To meet this sweet pup via facetime or whatsapp or in person, please send an application available at www.savesomesouls.com Yards, if any, must be fully and adequately fenced in order to adopt our dogs.

Story
Super sweet and mellow boy Charlie is a Panda German Shepherd mix. He is a year old and growing. He is 60 lb but needs to put on weight. He and his brother Elmo were dumped in a rural Texas field from where they were both rescued. Charlie is a very sweet, calm, extremely loving big baby, who enjoys hanging out with his foster sister Alexa, chill in the pool, and lay around in the sun. He is also very obedient, housebroken, extremely intelligent, and gorgeous. He doesn't have any guarding tendency. He will do great in a home, with another dog. He can be okay around cats with proper supervision. He lives with 2 foster kitties and 2 foster doggie sisters. He is fine around all. He loves kids and has been around them. Charlie has all his shots, and is neutered, microchipped, heartworm negative and kept on heartworm and flea preventative. Panda German Shepherds are basically the same as other GSDs when it comes to temperament, trainability, exercise requirements, and nutritional needs. The only difference is their unique coloring! Panda German Shepherds are full-bred German Shepherd dogs (GSD) with an uncommon genetic mutation in their KIT gene. He is being fostered in Texas, but can travel to many states and even Canada for the right home. To meet this adorable pup, please send a completed application via www.savesomesouls.com
