Story
Bobby has been thriving in his foster home, learning how to live in a home environment and gaining confidence along the way. He’s a smart boy who follows directions well, though he can be a little nervous when new people visit. If given time and space, he quickly realizes they’re not so scary. Bobby walks great on a leash but needs a slow, patient approach when meeting new people. This sweet, goofy boy has been through a lot. He and his five littermates were abandoned at a shelter at just three weeks old, where they were exposed to distemper. Only three survived, and Bobby was one of them. Now, after spending over two years in rescue, he’s still waiting for a place to call home. Bobby would do best in a home without young children, ideally with kids aged 10 and up. Due to his breed makeup, no apartments please. *Our adoption fees are as follows (paid by cash, Zelle, Venmo or a check made out to Rescue Row):
Dogs 12 weeks-6 months old: $300 adoption fee
Dogs 7 months and older: $275 adoption fee
Rescue Row is a 501(c)3 (non-profit) all volunteer dog rescue organization serving the DFW Metroplex. We are dedicated to rescuing dogs in shelters, dogs in abusive or neglectful situations, and dogs surrendered by their owners because of difficult circumstances. We place dogs in loving, responsible, committed permanent homes, following a comprehensive adoption process, which includes taking considerable care in finding good matches and educating prospective adopters about the responsibilities and costs of bringing a dog into their homes and lives. Dogs in our care are spayed or neutered, microchipped, receive all appropriate veterinary care and treatment, and placed in nurturing foster homes while they await placement in their permanent homes. We assist dogs in distress without regard to age, breed or ease of placement. Dogs in the greatest need take priority. Finally, we strive to work with shelters and other rescue and humane organizations to develop a network of supporters and volunteers in order to create a better world for homeless dogs.
