Story
Meet Juniper! A spirited six-and-a-half-year-old Belgian Malinois/Shepherd mix currently living in Richardson, TX, whose essence is a joyful whirlwind of energy wrapped in a tan coat with white and black accents. Also known as June Bug or Junie B. Jones, Juniper is equal parts cuddle queen and squirrel-chasing athlete! Her heart is as big as her bark, whether she’s gently checking on the kids in the house like a protective big sister or sounding the alarm when the mailman dares approach her kingdom, Juniper takes her guardian role seriously. She’s a ball-chasing, toy-destroying, high-energy companion who loves her routines, especially mealtimes (don’t worry, she’ll let you know if you're running late). Juniper is house-trained, fully vaccinated, microchipped, and spayed. She also knows all the classics like sit, stay, down, heel, come, and gentle. She’s a natural at doggy parkour, zooming around the yard with the grace of a canine gymnast, and then crashing on the couch for a well-earned snuggle session. While Juniper absolutely thrives on love and companionship, she shines brightest as the only pet in a calm, stable home. In her current household, she’s experienced some tension with the resident dog, but during a recent six-week period as a solo pup, she blossomed! Relaxed, content, and completely in her element. When left alone with the other dog, Juniper has shown some signs of separation anxiety, but when she’s the only pet, she settles beautifully and can spend time alone with ease, enjoying her day until her people return. She’s also reactive on a leash when she sees other dogs or fast-moving critters like squirrels, so she’ll benefit from continued positive reinforcement training and a confident pet parent to help guide her on walks. She’s shy around other dogs and hasn’t spent much time with cats, so a pet-free environment would help her shine her brightest. Her ideal home includes a fenced yard for daily play and space to explore her inner squirrel detective. She’s wonderful with children and has a nurturing, “mother hen” nature. If someone’s upset, Juniper will be the first one to check in, tail wagging and ready to comfort! Great news for potential adopters, Juniper’s adoption fee has been sponsored by the family! They’re also open to fostering options and willing to drive to meet any potential adopters. If you're looking for a loyal, loving companion who’s as happy chasing tennis balls as she is curled up at your feet, Juniper might just be the perfect fit! Could your home be the next chapter in this playful pup’s story? To learn more or meet Juniper, reach out to adopt@joyfulpets.com!

Nova is an exceptional girl, thoughtful, attentive, and ready to devote herself to someone who can help her excel. She is very engaged, loves challenges, and athletic enough to meet whatever challenge might be put in her path - typical Malinois attitude. She gets along well with other dogs, loves playing with them, but we keep her with dogs her size or larger when she is outside unattended. She is with dogs of all sizes and ages when she is inside and gets along well with everyone.Nova will ask to go out when she is in a crate, uses a doggie door, and has good house manners. She loves car rides and is good on a leash. She would be a great go-everywhere dog.If you want a life partner, Nova could be just the girl you are looking for. She is fully vetted-current with all vaccines, spayed, micro chipped, and on flea/tick and heartworm prevention.

Story
Meet Mia a 4-year-old, 70-80 lb fully vaccinated and spayed beauty who thrives in a structured environment and has consistently proven herself easy to work with, responsive, and eager to please. Mia is looking for a calm, confident adopter who can offer her the routine and structure, which is where she thrives! She&#39ll do well in a dog-savvy home and gets along with other dogs when management is clear and calm. We recommend a home without young children; teens may be fine with guidance. Over the years, she&#39s completed several training programs--passing each with flying colors! . To support her in her next chapter, Happy Gentle Dogs will provide a complimentary Board & Train before adoption, along with a smooth, hands-on transfer and follow-up support to set everyone up for success. Mia has a solid foundation and a big heart. If you&#39re ready to meet her with patience and purpose, we&#39d love to hear from you. If you feel your home might be the right place for such a great dog - the place to start is with the adoption application found at www.dfwrescueme.org/adopt. Once submitted, the foster will contact you promptly to tell you more and to arrange a time to meet! The adoption fee for all of our dogs is $300.00, which includes their vaccinations and spay/neuter. Mia is participating in the DFW Rescue Me Guest Dog Program, so ongoing care and custody are provided by their foster, not by DFWRM.December 17, 2025, 12:17 am
