Story
Ty is a purebred Belgian melon Wah puppy, who came to us from a small shelter in the Houston area. He has all his three rounds of puppy vaccinations and has been neutered and micro chipped. He is heartworm negative and is on heartworm prevention. He weighs around 60 pounds and is 8 1/2 to 9 months old. He is extremely friendly and loves other dogs. His current foster family has one cat who he doesn’t seem reactive with, but would need to be more thoroughly tested with cats. he is extremely friendly with all people, but is very active as a young malinois and could knock over small children. He definitely needs an experienced handler and will need basic obedience training. He is crate trained. Please contact savapetwac@yahoo.com for an application. We require an adoption application before scheduling any meet and greets.

Story
Meet Lucy Lucy is a 1.5-2 year old Belgian Malinois. She came to us from an area high kill shelter and was on death row. Once we met her we fell in love with this gorgeous sweet girl and took her into our rescue group. She is fully vetted, microchipped, and spayed. Lucy is an amazing, sweet girl with moderate energy/drive. She will do best with an owner who has experience with Malinois and GSDs and in positive dog training. She is crate and potty trained. You must be approved to adopt through our group before meeting any of our adoptable dogs. Please note that this is a volunteer based group and NOT a SHELTER. Most of our dogs are in foster homes. There may be delays in application processing answering emails etc. because we all have demanding full time jobs, families, and foster dogs/puppies to care for. please email savapetwac@yahoo.com for an application. We require an application before meeting any of our adoptable dogs. The adoption fee is $200. Tax deductible

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. ____________________________________________________________ Hedy Barton and Marcia ToksonRoxie – 3-Year Old Female Malinois in Connecticut   Roxie is looking for an adoptive home or a foster to adopt home.  She is a 3-year old female who will be spayed in her foster home.  She is up to date on her shots and heartworm negative.    Roxie is a big, active girl and weighs about 55 pounds.  She is exuberant and needs to learn manners.  She is housebroken and apparently good in the apartment of her owner when left alone.   Roxie is friendly with people and children (ages 10 and up only as she is big and bouncy) .  She has been tested several dogs – male and female – and has always been reactive.  For this reason, Roxie must go to a home where she is the only pet.  The foster or adoptive home would be encouraged to work with her on her interactions with male dogs her own size as it is possible that she may improve with careful exposure.  Roxie also has high prey drive for squirrels and small animals so cannot be placed in a home with cats or small animals.    She is an active girl who benefits from hour-long walks and exercise. She loves car rides and can be left in the car without tearing anything up or getting into trouble.  She settles calmly in the house and likes balls, sticks and tug, but I would not call her a dog with super-high ball drive.  She is not noise sensitive and appears to have good nerves.  Roxie would do best in a home with a large, fenced yard, or with a person who will exercise with daily walks and runs, being cognizant that she may be aggressive with female dogs and small dogs.  (There is some feeling that this issue may be tempered and/or resolved when she is spayed but we cannot assume that this will be the case.)   We also do NOT know if Roxie can be crated as the person who has her now has never tried acclimating her to a crate.  Roxie appears to be a good girl who is attached to the person who is currently caring for her and does try to please.  She needs careful oversight in her interactions with other dogs as well as guidance; training and eventual placement.   A photo and a video are included. Can you give this girl a chance to develop her full potential as a loving companion? Time is of the essence for Roxie as it is uncertain as to how much longer her current home can keep her.   If you would like to help give Roxie a chance by fostering her, please contact Hedy Barton (HedyL@aol.com). Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. ____________________________________________________________ Coordinator: Maryfrances BettsVinny is a 19 month old, one eared Malinois with a great love of life!  He has boundless energy and is a goofy boy. Vinny was born with only 1 ear and canal but don't let that fool you! He is a typical young Malinois! He is a handsome boy that just wants a family to call his own! Vinny needs to be both mentally and physically stimulated like most Malinois. He bonds very quickly to his person and is a Velcro dog. He would do well with a non-confrontational male or female. He would also do well with dogs over 20 lbs. as long as they are not alpha. Due to his size, energy and drive, he will not be placed in a home with cats or children under 8 years old. Vinny has a very high drive for toys and would do well in any activity that would keep his mind engaged and focused. He is not a couch potato and would love to be a part of your active life! If Vinny sounds like the guy for you, please fill out his Adoption Application: https://malinoisrescue.org/forms/form?formid=6574 For questions about Vinny, please email Maryfrances, Vinny's Coordinator. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.ABMR thanks you for taking the time to look at our malinois available for adoption.  November 5, 2024, 5:08 pm

She is crate trained, and house trained.  She rides well in the car but is a little anxious when first getting into the crate in the car but will chill after a few minutes. She has high prey drive so will not be a good candidate for families with cats or small children. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. ____________________________________________________________ Coordinator: Carol AulickZara is a very sweet female currently located in Pennsylvania.  She is 45lbs, athletic and very agile.  She is clever, enjoys learning new things and is a lot of fun to train. She knows basic commands, is housebroken, and crate trained and rides really well in the car.   She has a lot of potential and could be a great partner in sports such as barn hunts, rally, or dock diving. She has high prey drive so would do best in a home without cats or small animals She loves to be with her people, is very sweet, and bonds quickly.  She is stellar at the vet.  They love her. Zara is such a nice dog, it is hard to understand why no one has scooped her up.  The only consideration is that she is dog selective. She gets along with males but not females.  She isn't reactive to other dogs when out and about - it is only an issue with other dogs in her home.   She is fully vetted, UTD. on vaccinations, spayed, and microchipped. For more information about Zara, please contact her coordinator, Carol, via email at malinoisPArescue@gmail.com If interested in adopting Zara, please complete the application by clicking on the link below https://malinoisrescue.org/forms/form?formid=6574  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.ABMR thanks you for taking the time to look at our malinois available for adoption.  November 5, 2024, 5:08 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. ____________________________________________________________ Coordinator: Brandy Whiddon/Kelli WilliamsonCairo “Cai” is a super friendly Malinois with an abundance of energy and a strong desire to stay close to his human. Due to his size and tendency to enthusiastically run towards people, a home with no children under 12 is not recommended. Cai is highly active and would thrive with an owner who enjoys running, hiking, and engaging in various dog sports such as nose work, barn hunt, dock diving, agility, and obedience.  While Cai is well-behaved in his crate, he becomes vocal when he knows someone is nearby, seeking companionship. He's currently working through some marking issues, which are expected to diminish as his hormone levels stabilize post-neutering. Initially aloof with strangers, Cai warms up quickly, especially to women, and does best with a confident and understanding male owner. Cai has an excellent recall, especially with treats, and respects boundaries like fences. He tends to be overly excited when returning on recall but will sit on command. While he interacts well with female dogs, he's more reserved around males and would do best with a smaller, low-key male dog companion. He largely ignores cats, aside from a slight reaction when they seek his attention. Cai's ideal home is one with Malinois experience, capable of handling his high energy and training needs. He loves toys and fetch but requires two balls to ensure retrieval. He's currently learning loose leash walking, proper greetings, and other basic commands. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. ____________________________________________________________ Coordinator-Jeanine DaughertyKya is a Malinois mix who was horribly attacked as a puppy. she still has scars, but is physically, completely healed. Unfortunately, the attack left her untrusting of most other dogs. She could live in a home with a more passive male dog.  Kya is slow to warm up to new people, but once you have gained her trust she will play ball with you all day long and then settle in and cuddle.  Kya is spayed, fully vaccinated and on heart worm and flea and tick preventative. She is crate and house trained. She was a Valentine's day baby in 2022 (DOB 2/14/22). Kya likes to go for rides in the car.  Kya is located in Ohio.  To apply to adopt Kya , please use her adoption link: https://malinoisrescue.org/forms/form?formid=6574Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.ABMR thanks you for taking the time to look at our malinois available for adoption.  November 5, 2024, 5:08 pm
