Story
Hello world. Our names are Demi (F) and Russell (M). We are barely over a year, nearly did not survive as younger pups, and then given the gift of love and kindness. So, here we are today. Our mom did not survive the cruel owner. But dad was his pride and joy, a large Belgian Malinois. Our owner did not care if we lived or died. At one point our littermates were coming down with parvo. This person did not care that our littermates were suffering. This very kind lady was persistent (all 5 feet tall). She came day after day until one day she told them she wasn't going to stand by and let us die too. Demi had all but given up. She was too weak to walk. The owner surrendering them loaded us up in her minivan. After a lot of TLC (tender loving care), medicine, and time, we came back to life. Today (08/13/2024), we do not slow down for pictures. We slow down enough for treats, dinner, and getting into our playard. We love all sizes of other dogs, we have been exposed to cats but have too much energy and love of life to say we are cat social. We love people, sort of leash trained, crate trained and for the most part house trained. We do get in a whole lot of playing and forget to go to the door. Our ideal home is active. Older children would be good. Have time to make us a part of your family. We want to please you. We are not a bonded pair. We would do great with or without another dog as company. Please request an application alittlelonger2home@gmail.com. Once you have received your application please fill out in full including your references email addresses. Next step is to submit your deposit to reserve me for your adoption.  See you soon Demi Female Spayed Breed Belgian Malinois mix Color Black and White Age 17 months old (As of 08/13/2024) Weight 49lbs Great with people, older children, dogs Adoption donation $525 Carlton Rescue- Operation Puppy Love 501c(3) (Like us on Facebook)

LEASH, HOUSE AND BASIC COMMAND TRAINED FULLY VETTED*** NEUTERED*** CHIPPED GREAT WITH PEOPLE OF ALL AGES***BLACK AND RED COAT Our German shepherd rescue is proud to present for adoption a young (9 months) Belgian Malinois, male, that is off the charts handsome. Our new boy goes by the name Zeus but he is probably the total antithesis of this moniker being super friendly, happy, playful and downright adorable. Zeus has a beautiful classic coat, comes in now at 60 pounds but will be upwards of 85 pounds, beautiful gait, great symmetry and extremely intelligent. This guy is great with other dogs, loves kids, loves play time, loves to train and is just fun to be around! Zeus works out daily with 11 other shepherds and a golden retriever, they put up with him and he is in heaven. This young man completed all of our socialization and training programs with ease reflecting a very high desire to train, superior confidence, strong desire to bond, very high intelligence and a strong but in control protective instinct. As the primary trainer for Zeus I can tell you, without qualification, that this dog has few if any limitations. With a less than desirable early life Zeus’s zest for life is quite remarkable. Our boy will fit in almost any home that will open its heart and let him in.

Adoptable in: MA, RI, NH, CT, and VTGood with dogs: YesGood with cats: Unknown, likely noGood with kids: Yes, dog-savvy childrenCrate trained: YesHouse Trained: YesOtto is a beautiful boy with a sweet, playful spirit! He is a medium energy dog who is hoping for a family who wants to include him in all the fun! He’s happy to attend weeknight soccer practice, movie nights, brewery weekends and all the adventures in between. Otto is currently fostered in a multidog household and loves playing with other dogs. He takes other dogs cues well, and entertains himself with toys when his doggy friends are all done playing. With his playful nature he would likely not be a great fit for cats. He has a larger-than-life personality, loves everyone, and wants everyone to love him back. The word “stranger” isn’t in Otto’s vocabulary as he makes friends everywhere he goes. Otto has done wonderfully meeting children; he sometimes forgets his size, so dog-savvy children would be best for him. He’s super sharp, conquering new skills with lightning speed, he has already mastered sit and walks like a champ on leash. Otto is fully house and crate trained. He sleeps soundly in his crate overnight and can be crated throughout the day. He is looking for a loving family to continue to teach him new tricks and give him a whole lot of love. Otto would make a wonderful companion, and can’t wait to be part of a family. If you’re looking for an insanely good-looking dog with loads of potential, choose Otto! Please Note: All dogs are posted on our website until they are officially adopted. This dog may have other interested adopters in line. If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an application on our website at www.lasthopek9.org. Story
Meet Cooper Cooper is a stunning and wonderful purebred 3.5 year old GSD. He came from a junk yard two years ago. He is an escape artist. He would do best with a single owner, and could use a job, sport, or some sort of work. He would excel at any assigned task. Cooper was adopted a year ago but sadly, his owner unfortunately experienced medical issues that required him to surrender Cooper back to Lincoln/Cumberland shelter. We met and assessed Cooper, who reminded me a lot of my son's retired military working dog. He will take a bit of time to warm up to a new person, but once he has, in the case of the shelter staff, he is happy and playful. We prefer an adopter to have GSD or Malinois experience. He is not a famly-type pet. Cooper needs a person who understands this type of dog and he needs. His hips look great, and we saw no concerning behaviors. Thank you for choosing rescue.

Story
This is MACON! The handsomest 2 year old male who is a very striking breed of dog and dog. Seriously, we're not sure his breed but we know he'll be a larger pup and he's wonderful. Macon was found running down the middle of the highway in Macon County, was found by some kind souls who took him in. Macon loves other dogs and kids, but he has a bit too much energy for the good Samaritans that found him. He foster sister is a 13 year old Chi that Macon is very respectful to, but the Chi is a bit cantankerous and doesn't like to share. Macon knows his manners, caught on to the basics very quickly, he knows to sit, stay and other basic commands. He absolutely LOVES toys. His fosters say he could chase a tennis ball or frisbee forever (fetch level pro) but he does very well when let inside to cuddle on the couch too. If you are interested in having this wonderful pup join your family, please let us know using this link: dixiegirldogrescue.org/adopt-form. From there, we'll forward your application to his foster family who will be in touch. ======================================================================================== If interested in adopting one of our available pets, please fill out an application at http://www.dixiegirldogrescue.org/adopt-form PLEASE MAKE NOTE- OUR DOGS ARE FOSTERED IN ALABAMA (UNLESS OTHERWISE STATED), OUR DOGS TRANSPORT TO THEIR NEW FAMILIES IN RHODE ISLAND AFTER THEY HAVE BEEN ADOPTED. Story
We have not had Cowboy long (11 NOV) but it was clear from the first minute we met, Cowboy is a wonderful boy! Cowboy seems to know some basic commands such as "shake" and "sit". He is good with the other dogs but we haven't tested him with cats or other animals. He is good with all humans as he did not hesitate to greet the other pet owners at our Vet's Office. The pet parent of this dog took him to the vets office and ask them to put him down. The vet and staff just could not h stand why! The keep asking the man for the dog to be surrendered tk them and they would take care of the dog. When ask why he wanted to put Cowboy down, they discovered that he just got tired of the dog! (Personally I would pick the dog over the owner any day of the week. I am happy he is away from the dog) Please consider giving Cowboy the forever home he so desperately needs. He was once loved as anyone can see by his personality. He is thoughtful, kind, eager to please, and above all a good dog! You will never go wrong with Cowboy! RPACI is a non profit rescue, and currently possess our 501C3 to operate as such. Please visit us on Facebook: Rebecca's Paws and Claws in Remlap and our website: www.rpacirescue.org. All dogs from this rescue are transported from Alabama to the New England area and delivered in RI. Each dog will come fully vetted. Price also includes transportation and a Health Certificate as required by law. There is a 100.00 deposit required at the time of adoption to secure the transport crate. The remainder of the fee will be paid once you pick up the dog. Naturally the 100.00 comes off the total owed at pick up. It will be refunded if for any reason you decide you do not want to adopt, unless the transport has already left.with the dog. To get a application please go to: saveapreciouspaw@gmail.com
