Story
Hi, I`m Kona! Pleased to meet you, friend!Kona is a 3 year old, 70 lb Shepherd mix and a shelter employee and volunteer favorite! This big girl has got personality! A lover of long walks, hikes, car rides, belly rubs, and treatos! She`ll give a paw or two for cookies. She loves everyone she meets and she`s our `dog test` dog because of her calmness and mild mannered demeanor around fellow canines. So what`s the catch? Why do incredible dogs like Kona get overlooked? With great personality comes quirks sometimes. For Kona, it`s resource guarding. Simply put, in the past when she has decided something is hers... she has defended her ownership of it fiercely. Whether it be high value objects or food items. That said, she has received some training to work with her resource guarding and she has not had any incidences in almost a year now. Her daily dog walkers speak volumes of her as being the easiest dog to walk in the entire kennel. As well as most affectionate!Because of her past resource guarding, she would do best in a low traffic home without young children or other pets. Someone who has experience with canine resource guarding or can provide training for her would be of most benefit to her in a new home. Please give Kona the chance she deserves. She`s got so much love to give and so much joy to share!

Story
Angus needs a FAMILY ????????Just look at this beautiful boys dynamic colors and his sweet eyes ????Angus has had a few meets lately and has shown beautifully . He is shut down inside the kennels but outside he just shines ! He was just another left behind animal in a sea of others who has no sense of past and no hope for future . We have enough hope for all of them .Angus is a 6 year old shepherd mix . He’s quirky and cute , a gorgeous brindle color and not overly large , weighing just 47 pounds. When he realizes he is meeting a new friend he can be shy but within a few minutes he comes alive , full tail wags and ready to play ! Hes tested selective with other dogs and we will do a meet and greet with an approved application .He’s incredibly sweet and loves to play fetch ! You can apply to meet Angus and give him a chance at a forever family by applying here : https://www.cognitoforms.com/griffinpondanimalshelter1/griffinpondanimalshelteradoptionapplicationfordogsYou won’t know until you try ??Angus’s Adoption fee has been lovingly sponsored ??
