Story
HI - I'M SCARLET! I'm a lovely, sweet, and very active 8-year-old Belgian Malinois currently in a foster home in Northern Oregon! Previously, per the shelter that housed me, I came from a hoarding situation in California. I'm an affectionate girl, with plenty of energy for walk, hikes and other outings. I will be your best friend and co-pilot, as I love spending time with my people. I do have strong protective and territorial instincts, and will protect you from an intruder. I'm extremely intelligent and I learn quickly at your command. Even though I'm only 55 pounds, I am strong, and need a strong owner. I am easily distracted on a walk, but I'm gentle, too. I do not do well with cats and have a prey drive. Belgian Malinois dogs can have a long lifespan if taken care of properly, so don't let my 8 years scare you. I don't act like an 8-year-old dog at all, and in fact, I'm ready to go for a long hike! I may be younger, too, as my age is a shelter estimate. I'm also a bit of an escape artist, but that's because I'm so smart. So please don't leave me out in the backyard for hours on end as I could figure out a way to get out. I will do fine if left in a utility room - I do not have accidents in there nor am I destructive. All in all I'm a wonderful dog who needs a wonderful, experienced, loving owner. Can you adopt me?

Story
Sable, a loving and confident five-year-old Belgian Malinois looking for a knowledgeable owner who understands her breed. Sable is a people-lover through and through, always seeking attention and affection from those around her. She came in as a momma dog, had 11 (!!!) puppies and is now looking for a home of her own. She is friendly towards strangers and walks well past other dogs when out and about. Her enthusiasm sometimes shows through in her greetings—she may jump up to show how happy she is to see you, but she takes corrections well and will listen when you tell her down. She’s also crate trained and will obey when you tell her to get in without whining. Sable's ideal home includes a backyard where she can roam, and she'll appreciate high fences to keep her safe and secure. She would do great in a home with a calm and easy going dog since she has a tendency to get overwhelmed with high energy. She would also be fine as the only pet in the home! A home without cats and smaller dogs is would be great for Sable. Since she can get excited meeting people, a house with older kids or no kids would be best! But a home with toys would be a dream for Sable! If Sable is anything, she is a happy girl that just wants loving! She will be loyal to you and stick by your side and offer affection at any time of the day! If you're ready to welcome an outgoing and loving companion into your life, Sable is eager to meet you and show you just how special she is. Why adopt from Three Little Pitties? The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. This dog you’ve found online is lucky to be in our program, and even luckier to have you notice it! Three Little Pitties wants to set you and your new pet up for success! We know our dogs and we work hard to prepare them socially for adoption. We are a network of dedicated people who are heavily invested in seeing our animals thrive. From the moment they are accepted into our program, our Intake, Behavior & Medical teams prepare them for adoption by properly vetting, behaviorally assessing, and providing customized plans depending on the dog’s needs. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these special perks: • 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion (must register within 24 hours of first vet appt.) • A free private online dog training session with GoodPup plus low pricing for future sessions (approx $25 weekly for an 8 week course of one session per week) • One free bonus toy in every BarkBox when signing up for their Super Chewer subscription plan • 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a PNW based, organic fresh dog food loaf meal subscription plan • Coupons for a fun visit to Petco • Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! We celebrated our 5 year anniversary this year! Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 12,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be saved in that spot. Together, we can be heroes. Follow our rescue journey through the links below! https://www.threelittlepittiesrescue.org/ https://www.facebook.com/threelittlepittiesrescue https://www.instagram.com/threelittlepittiesrescue *Due to the rising cost of fuel and transportation expenses, there will be an additional $74 surcharge for transport. Story
Looking for a serious, responsible, loving person to adopt this girl. She is a beautiful, loyal, lovey dog who is great in the home. She gets attached and loves her person. She needs a lot of exercise & attention. She is amazing in the home. She can stay alone in the home for a reasonable amount of time, she is crate trained, knows many commands, and is overall a smart & well mannered dog. She is a Belgian Malinois and a typical one, so those who are not familiar with this breed need to know all about this breed and know for sure that this is the breed for them. A new owner must be seriously prepared for the amount of exercise, training and attention this dog needs to be a great dog. We are looking to rehome her to someone who has a yard she can run in, play fetch, and someone who is willing to spend a lot of time with her.

Story
Oso will be 3 years old (on october 31st). Pure breed Belgian Malinois, although we don't have paperwork. He has lifetime training through Sit Means Sit Training. He knows basic commands and is always very eager to learn., loves to play fetch. He is a very playful dog but also very protective. He can be shy at first but warms up to you quickly. He is very cautious when dogs come around, although he has lived with other dogs, it takes him a bit to get used to them but will warm up to them. Oso will bark at other dogs, currently barks at anyone or anything that passes behind our home, he'll protect you from rolling leaves or the Amazon delivery person. Overall such a sweet boy and very very smart, he needs alot of stimulation, which at the time I am unable to provide. He does well with babies and kids and will leave cats alone. He does try to chase and attack chickens. He is kennel trained and house / doggy door trained. He's fixed and all up to date on all shots.

These pups are in Hillsboro, Oregon too!

Story
I'M SCOUT! I'm a 2-year-old German Shepherd mix in need of a foster or forever home. I've been waiting for many months for someone to choose me! I weigh about 64 lbs. and am a handsome boy. I was rescued from a shelter, where I was kenneled with another dog and did great! However, I would likely do best with a submissive dog, possibly a female. I love being petted and I love, love, love food. I would do well with an active person or people who go for walks, hikes and other outings. Can you foster or adopt me? Please email for an application.

Story
This terribly cute clown-tongued puppy, Chester, is a parvo survivor and is making the most out of his new lease on life! While he's colored like a German Shepherd, his broad face is more Beagle/Lab-ish, so who knows the breed mix. He is only 6 month old.Chester is great with our dogs and other fosters cat, and we suspect he would also be kid-friendly. He's a little timid at first, but loves affection, toys, sprinting, wrestling, and most of all FOOD. Such food motivation is helpful for training, which he needs, and he is learning directions on potty and jumping as well as building on his basic training that started at the shelter. He's neutered and ready to walk in your door and capture your heart. He needs a securely fenced yard so no Apartment life for Chester and another dog his size and energy level to help with training and showing him the way.. If you want to meet him, Fill out the application on our website - OFOSA.ORG and his foster mom will be in touch
