Story
Duckie is looking for her forever home! This pretty girl is came to HSEC a couple months back after being surrendered with her brother at Craven Pamlico Animal Services. We met Duckie at the shelter and absolutely fell in love with her, and knew that someone else would too! ???Duckie is looking for a home that can dedicate a lot of time to her training. This pup is not only pretty, but being a 7 month old Belgian Mallinois mix means she is going to be a handful and a half. We are hoping that Duckie can find a home that is ready to work with her on her leash skills and manners. This pretty girl needs a lot of stimulation and attention, which is not a surprise considering her breed. We recommend that potential adopters who are interested in Duckie research a little bit about her breed before committing to her in the home. Duckie does well on a leash, but is still working on her manners. We think that with proper training and a structured routine that Duckie can be house trained easily. Duckie is also still working on crate training, but does really well when given a bone in the crate.Interested in adopting Duckie? Our adoption fee for dogs is $200.00. This fee includes spay/neuter, up to date vaccines, microchip, dewormer, and consistent heartworm and flea prevention before leaving the facility. If you are interested in adopting, please go to our website hsecarolina.org where you will find our adoption application. Please fill it out and submit, and once your application is reviewed, someone will reach out to you to set up an appointment.

Story
Name / Breed  / Age:  Meleys,  Belgian Malinois, puppy Personality Traits: Happy go lucky, Curious, Loveable Likes / Dislikes: Likes being held and snuggled. Dislikes being left out of the action. Health and behavior history:  Up to date on vaccines, dewormed, microchipped and will be neutered between 4-7 months. Clean bill of health from the PIPs Vet! Hi! My name is Meleys, but my foster parents call me Mel or Melly for short. I am a playful and spirited Malinois puppy – also known as a little “Maligator” in the making! Like most Malinois, I’m full of energy, smarts, and affection, looking for a home with someone experienced in handling my breed or dedicated to training me as I grow. I love to be part of the action and thrive on human companionship. After I’ve burned off my energy, I’m a snuggle bug who wants to be close to my people. I get along well with my doggy foster siblings, though I haven’t had much time with my foster family’s cat yet, so we’re still figuring out if I’m cat-compatible.  I’m friendly with both adults and kids, though little ones should know I’m still in my “everything’s-a-chew-toy” phase – toes, fingers, pants, shoes, you name it! I’m working on potty and crate training, and I sleep through the night in my crate. If you’re looking for a loyal, loving companion and have the dedication to guide me, I’d love to be part of your family! ##2212829##

Story
Odin is a large breed puppy who at 7 months weighs 70 pounds. He looks like a lab, but is actually the son of a black Belgian Malinois shepherd. He needs a country setting or a big Fenced yard where he can run like crazy. He loves to play fetch and snuggle. He has several months of free veterinary visits left through Petfolk. He barks at other dogs, but then licks them once they're close to him. He loves cats but they don't love him because he is too high energy. He's great with kids, but probably would be tough to have with a small child because he is so big. I'll give you all of his food and supplies, including a crate.
