Story
Tucker is a Downey CA euthanasia list survivor! He was deadlined due to having lots of energy and a very simple to fix upper respiratory infection. He is a gorgeous approximately 10 month old Shepherd mix and has already survived so much. Since leaving the shelter, he has healed from his cold, received training and is overall a very sweet boy. His ideal home would be active and enjoy throwing a ball for him. He is great with people and does well with other dogs. He would do best with submissive dogs as he is still a young boy and full of himself! He is housebroken and crate trained. Tucker is fixed, up to date on shots and has been treated with flea and tick prevention. If you’re interested in adopting, please fill out an adoption application on our website www.lonelypawsadoptions.org. Donations made will be used to help dogs like Tucker who are facing euthanasia for the “crime” of being unwanted and taking up space.

Story
Meet Ekmo, our 2 month old Australian Shepherd/Belgian Malinois Mix!Ekmo is a very high energy smart girl. Herding dogs are bred to work. Therefore, when they don`t have opportunity to herd cows or sheep, they have to be given other `jobs` so to speak to keep them both mentally and physically stimulated. These types of dogs easily get bored and are known to develop various behavioral issues once that happens. Ekmo needs a home with an experienced dog owner that understands the breed and the dedication involved in keeping them happy. Ekmo is not the best dog for a first time dog owner as the breed can be a bit challenging. Stop by and spend time with her to see if she is the right match for you. Our experienced staff is available to talk with you, answer your questions and provide advice on how to transition her to your home.Ekmo is spayed, dewormed, microchipped and is up to date with vaccines. Her adoption fee is $500.00, plus $8.50 for the dog license if you are a resident of NYC. Ekmo will also get one free exam with one of our participating veterinarians within 30 days of her adoption. If you`d like to meet her please visit, we`re conveniently located in Windsor Terrace, Brooklyn near the F train (Ft Hamilton Pkwy) and the B16 bus.Ekmo can`t wait to meet you! We`re open daily for adoptions from 11am to 5:30pm.Sean Casey Animal Rescue153 E. 3 St.between Ft Hamilton Pkwy & Caton AveBrooklyn, NY 11218adoptions @nyanimalrescue.orgNYS Department of Agriculture and Markets Registration No. RR160

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. DeeDee and her sister DOLLY was saved from a high kill shelter in Texas and arrived at Give a Dog a Home Rescue, in Sebec, Maine on 24th September.  We post in east coast states and Canada as we have many families adopt and are happy to make the worthwhile trip up to the rescue. We do not always have time to post all the pictures on each dogs individual page, but we do post a lot of photo's on the rescue Facebook page. DeeDee is spayed, rabies, core vaccines, monthly preventatives, heartworm and tick disease tested negative and is microchipped with 24PetWatch. She has an estimated date of birth of September 2023 and on 22 September weighed 50 pounds. We have no way of knowing the breed, it is up to individuals to look at the pictures and videos to make up their own mind. The shelter noted the following on 2 September about both girls who were taken to the play group individually: Not feeling quite confident on the leash yet, was carried to the yard. She wasn't feeling confident enough to join in with the others at this time. She was standoffish and could feel overwhelmed at times.   Kennel visit - 5 September Stayed on bed and was licking my hands but when I went to pet her she kept flinching and moving her head. Got off the bed and continued to lick hands but still flinched when tried to pet her. We are looking for families that have the lifestyle that the dog needs to lead a healthy, both mentally and physically life, who can afford a GOOD quality food, toys and treats and understand the importance of veterinary wellness checks.  She does need an active family who will ensure she gets all the exercise, both mentally and physically that she needs to live a happy fulfilling life. DeeDee is available for an adoption fee of $550 or if adopted with her sister DOLLY the adoption fee is $1,000 for both girls. Interested families are required to complete our application process and once approved schedule an appointment to come to the rescue in SEBEC, Maine to meet and take home their new best friend. Our process takes 1-2 days as long as we are able to talk to references, so be prepared to be approved (hopefully) to adopt within a few days of submitting the adoption application.
