Story
Meet Ranger, the intelligent and active Belgian Malinois/German Shepherd mix with a heart full of love and boundless energy. This handsome boy is a fast learner and has mastered essential commands like sit, down, wait, and shake. He's so clever that he tackled a level 3 puzzle on his first try! Ranger is a well-behaved and well-trained pup, making him a pleasure to have around the house. He's house trained, crate trained, and shows no signs of destructiveness indoors. However, he does experience some separation anxiety when his human leaves the house, which is why he's kept in his crate during errands. But don't worry, when he's playing in the backyard with his furry friend, he's perfectly content and doesn't exhibit any separation anxiety. Ranger is an active boy who loves going on walks, and he'll gladly accompany you on all your outdoor adventures. While Ranger is intelligent and affectionate, he can be barrier reactive, meaning he may react when he encounters certain barriers or boundaries. Patience and positive reinforcement training can help him overcome this behavior. This is very typical behavior for both breeds and he absolutely has to be adopted into a Mali/GSD knowledgeable family/ Ranger was in pretty rough shape when rescued and the vet initially thought he had an intestinal disease. Nothing was definitively diagnosed but the vet believes he has small intestinal issues. He is on a folate vitamin daily and will just need annual lab work and a high quality RAW FOOD diet. Ranger's charm and charisma shine through in the photos and videos provided, capturing his playful and loving nature. If you're looking for a smart, active, and affectionate companion, Ranger is the perfect match. Give him the love and care he deserves, and he'll reward you with loyalty and companionship like no other. Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $400 (includes transport to your area - $50 Temporary Fuel Charge will be added)

Story
Allow me to introduce myself, I'm Rainier You can probably guess that when I was found and rescued it was raining, it was! However, I was named after the gorgeousness that is Mount Rainier :) I have the highlights and lowlights of the mountain on a sun-cloudy day :) I have a driven personality, not unlike my breed. I am a very medium sized dutchy shepherd and possibly have Belgian Malinois in me as well........and you must KNOW and LOVE the breeds. I make super arm candy, if you will exercise me (and my brain) we will be besties for life! Currently I am living my best life running around green fields of grass with my big radar ears charged and ready to go! You best believe I can hear everything! Better open that bag of treats as quietly as possible or I'll come running in! And I can actually hear you open your laptop to apply to adopt me! HURRY!! Story
Meet Gabbana, a 4.5-month-old Malinois/Husky mix with a stunning fawn coat and a striking black mask. At just 20 pounds, this snuggly little girl is full of love and energy, and she's ready to find her forever home where she can grow into the loyal companion she's destined to be.   Gabbana is a smart, agile pup who loves to snuggle, making her the perfect cuddle buddy for anyone looking for a furry friend who is in tune with your emotions. She’s already about 85% house-trained, but she will benefit from some additional guidance and consistency to help her fully master the art of house manners. With her eager-to-please attitude, Gabbana will thrive with some obedience training and will quickly learn the ropes with the right amount of love, patience, and treats. She also enjoys food puzzles to keep her occupied. She's learning some agility moves to keep her active as well.   This sweet girl has moderate exercise needs, and a home with a fenced yard would be ideal for her to stretch her legs and burn off some energy. Gabbana can be a bit shy when meeting new people, so she’ll need a quiet and patient family who can help her feel safe and secure as she continues to build confidence.   While Gabbana gets along with other dogs, she’s a bit cautious around them, so introductions should be slow and gentle. She’s still figuring out how she feels about other animals, so it’s best to avoid any assumptions until she’s had the chance to adjust.  She would do best in a home with another doggie companion or someone that works from home to help her know that she's not alone.   If you're looking for a loyal, intelligent pup who will shower you with affection, love to snuggle, and keep up with your active lifestyle, Gabbana might be the perfect fit for you! Apply to adopt her today and give this sweet girl the forever home she deserves!   If interested, please  complete the  Adoption Application  on our website at  www.NeedyPaws.org  and we will contact you.  Adopters must live within an hour’s drive of St. Louis, MO. Our $275 adoption fee includes up-to-date vaccinations, heartworm testing and preventative, spay/neuter and microchip. We are a 100% foster-based rescue and all of our dogs live in approved foster homes. We are dedicated to finding the best Forever Homes, and will perform home visits and conduct veterinarian and reference checks for each potential adopter. Story
Cupids Bow is a 2 1/2 year old, 64 pound Malinois. Here's what his foster has to say: "he has a very sweet personality, quite calm for a Malinois. Since he has been with me he hasn't met a stranger outside of the house, he is very social with people." Cupid has shown no negative behaviors towards his foster sibling, or any dogs he's seen walking. He has not met any children, but does show interest in them, so potentially kid friendly. He didn't have the best start in life, so he is still working on house manners and learning to be a member of the family. Ideally he needs a home that has previously had a Malinois, or at least knows what to expect from this breed. He will need some patience and continued training/practice on being a house dog but is making good progress. He would love to begin the next chapter of his life in his forever home. Malinois lovers, we know you're out there!!
