Story
Lovely Lacy is blooming! She is now playful and more confident, which is heartwarming given her condition when first fostered. This little gal was rescued from the shelter with a severe upper respiratory infection. The vets warned us that she might not make it. BUT....this spunky gal beat the odds and fully recovered.
Lacy can be a shy at first when meeting new people. It takes a while for her to warm up to a new person, but once she does she gives your heart and then becomes a total love bug. She is very attached to her humans and loves to be with therm.
She walks well on a leash, knows her basic commands and has good recall. She displays little prey drive, and has discovering the joys of chew bones! She is a somewhat submissive dog when first meeting other dogs, but once comfortable she gets along fine with them. She may benefit from being in a home with a confident, neutral dog friend. She is also gets along fine with children (she has not been tested with very small children, but will likely be fine with supervision if they are not dog savvy).. Lacy has growled at her foster's cat, so a dog savvy cat or close supervision will be needed with house cats until she shows her true behavior with them. Due to her low prey drive, she is unlikely to chase cats.
Lacy has been growing and learning at her foster home, and is ready for a home of her own. As her foster mom says, "She is absolutely the sweetest girl ever!" She is a wonderful, well behaved girl who deserves her own special home and humans who can love and receive her love and devotion in return!.
