Story
This handsome Belgian Malinois mix is Jackson! He arrived at the shelter as a lost boy on 2/11, and sadly, no one has come to reclaim him. Jackson is keeping his paws crossed for a new forever home where he will be loved and kept safe so that he never ends up back in the shelter. The volunteers describe Jackson as friendly and easygoing. He is a smart cookie too and already knows several commands including sit, stay, and down. Belgian Malinois are a working breed of dog and he'll need proper physical and mental stimulation. Please ensure you have the time and energy to commit to Jackson before adopting. Jackson is approximately 2 years old and weighs 53 lbs. He is UTD on vaccines and neutered; he will be microchipped upon adoption. Unfortunately, Jackson tested positive for heartworms, but with proper treatment and care, he can go on to live a long and healthy life. Please speak with shelter staff about the option of fostering to adopt while he receives treatment. Jackson is waiting patiently in run 835; his ID # is 8066. Note - all the listings on Friends of Shelter Animals for Cobb are done by volunteers. If this cat or dog came in as a lost animal, we do not know how they might be with children, other pets, or if house trained. You can bring your pet to the shelter for a meet & greet with your potential new best friend. When inquiring about a cat or dog, please use THE ID NUMBER. This pet is available for adoption from Cobb County Animal Services, 1060 Al Bishop Dr. Marietta, GA 30008, (770) 499-4136. Shelter hours: Tues. - Sun. 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., closed Mondays & Holidays. The adoption includes shots, altering, a heartworm or combo test and a microchip.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. If you are interested in any of the FFOSK9 pups,  the first step is to fill out an application at  http://www.ffosk9resq.org/info/adoption . Loki is a young 10 month old, 38 pound Malinois that was found wandering a small rural Alabama community. He is neutered,Heartworm negative, up to date on all his shots and started on his monthly preventatives. A good samaritan came across Loki and brought him home so we do not know much about his history or anything about his parentage.   Loki has come so far since he first came to Furever Friends of the South K-9 Rescue. He has gained a lot of confidence! He is so full of energy, and he is playful, silly, and an all around great pup. However, Loki needs someone that can train him so he can be all that he can be! He is smart, inquisitive, attentive, and focused. We just don't have the resources or the knowledge to train his breed. If you have experience with Belgian Malinois's, and you are searching for your next companion, please reach out to us and we can talk about his likes, dislikes, his funny quirks and his needs. You can see more about him on www.ffosk9resq.org EXPERIENCED HANDLERS PREFERRED ! To apply please visit our website at https://www.ffosk9resq.org/      Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.  We are a home based, not for profit organization in Northeast Alabama that helps place forgotten and unwanted pets in forever homes.  We are an all volunteer, 501(c)3  organization.  We rescue pets from high kill shelters, prior to being euthanized, as well as strays and unwanted pets. We do not adopt to "outside only" homes nor do we adopt to anyone who wishes to crop, dock, or do any other alterations except the spaying and neutering of their pets.  All pets are completely vetted, up to date on all vaccines, and given rabies certificates.   January 17, 2025, 1:30 pm

Story
Blondie is a beautiful 8 year old German Shepherd/ Malinois mix that weighs 58 lbs. She will require training from someone who is very experienced with protection dogs. We have been working with her but she shows signs that someone began protection training with her but never completed it. She does have a strong alfa personality but could potentially make a good protection dog with the right person. We do not think she ever lived indoors so there has been many new things for her. Blondie has been doing great with training and is HOUSEBROKEN! She is not good with kids or cats and is showing dominance to other dogs so it would best if she is the only dog in the house. She is spayed, heart worm negative, fully vaccinated and dewormed. Her adoption fee is $250. January 4, 2025, 12:52 am
