Story
This stunning lady is Gisele! She arrived at the shelter as a lost girl with her sibling/bestie, Fabio, on 11/15. We're surprised no one is missing these beautiful, well-behaved dogs. They're quite the dynamic duo, and while they were initially shy in their kennel, they're starting to get used to the loud shelter environment. The volunteers describe them as friendly, fun-loving, attentive, and smart. Someone along the way taught them a few things because they know how to sit, shake, and lay down nicely when asked. They are a working dog breed, so please ensure you have the time and energy to commit to them. They'll need lots of physical and mental stimulation to shine truly! Gisele is approximately 1.5 years old, and she weighs 51 lbs. She is UTD on vaccines, and she will be spayed, microchipped, and heartworm tested upon adoption. Please come meet Gisele in run 877; her ID # is 6254. Note - all the listings on Friends of Shelter Animals for Cobb are done by volunteers. If this cat or dog came in as a lost animal, we do not know how they might be with children, other pets, or if house trained. You can bring your pet to the shelter for a meet & greet with your potential new best friend. When inquiring about a cat or dog, please use THE ID NUMBER. This pet is available for adoption from Cobb County Animal Services, 1060 Al Bishop Dr. Marietta, GA 30008, (770) 499-4136. Shelter hours: Tues. - Sun. 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., closed Mondays & Holidays. The adoption includes shots, altering, a heartworm or combo test and a microchip.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. If you are interested in any of the FFOSK9 pups,  the first step is to fill out an application at  http://www.ffosk9resq.org/info/adoption . Loki is a 7 month old, scared shy boy that seems to bond with women easiest. He appears to be frightened of men so he will need someone that is patient and has experience with his breed and personality. So... if you have had Malinois in the past and have had them trained professionally and you have the patience to let him work through his anxiety, then Loki may be the dog for you. Once he bonds with you he wants to be with you at all times so you will have to break him of that desire. He is what we call a velcro dog. But he is a very well behaved dog and seems to have good house manners. He does need some house training because we believe he was allowed to to do his business in the house, but he is learning by watching the other dogs go outside. He enjoys running and gets the zoomies when he is out playing. He does like to fetch a ball as well. He gets along great with other dogs but can seem a little possessive but easily redirected. He shares the bed and the couch with his humans and other dogs in the house. He is used to living with a teenage girl so we recommend a home with older kids. He seems fine around cats but we are not 100% sure about that. He has just come nose to nose with the barn cats and doesn't seem to mind them. EXPERIENCED HANDLERS ONLY! To apply please visit our website at https://www.ffosk9resq.org/ There is a $325 adoption fee   Once the application is submitted his foster mom with start processing the application and all the necessary calls are made someone will be in touch.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.  We are a home based, not for profit organization in Northeast Alabama that helps place forgotten and unwanted pets in forever homes.  We are an all volunteer, 501(c)3  organization.  We rescue pets from high kill shelters, prior to being euthanized, as well as strays and unwanted pets. We do not adopt to "outside only" homes nor do we adopt to anyone who wishes to crop, dock, or do any other alterations except the spaying and neutering of their pets.  All pets are completely vetted, up to date on all vaccines, and given rabies certificates.   November 22, 2024, 6:47 pm
