Zero will be available for adoption after 11/05/2024. For more up to date information on this dog please go to our website @ https://www.playk9rescue.org/adopt-a-dog Zero is literally the perfect boy despite where he came from💓 Zero is bigger than the average malinois (tall wise) he is all legs🫣🐾 He has shown nothing but happiness and love for everybody around him. He is a thin big guy But day by day, he is starting to gain a little weight and be able to run across the yard without his back shaking🥹 Zero Absolutely loves balls, but he will do anything for his green jolly ball(which will go with him when he is adopted) He also absolutely loves beds, mainly dog beds !! But he is also a huge cuddler loves to be held and talk to like a baby 🤣💓 He loves car rides. He does not pull on the leash for the most part.. he loves going into public and walk, especially when people pet him. He absolutely loves his Starbucks cups.!! He is great with dogs ,baby’s,kids all people basically. (Not sure of cats as he seems to be scared of them) He is down for any type of training session, especially if you have a in your hand. He is very easy to train. All he wants to do is please you!!! Zero is an energetic big ball of love! Story
Pandora will be available for adoption after 11/05/2024. She was very friendly upon intake. Foster update: Pandora 2 years old and still puppy-like in many ways. She is SO sweet and loves to give hugs! She warms up to women quickly, but may need a little bit of time to fully trust men. Sitting down and giving her treats has worked well. She does great with most other dogs, but may prefer a dog that doesn’t challenge her too much. Her best buddy here is my 15 lb dog, but I think she’d enjoy a friendly dog her size. She is very interested in my cat, but doesn’t seem to want to harm her. She has even given her kisses. Pandora craves lots of love and attention and really enjoys fetch or splashing in the baby pool. I have a feeling she could be a great boat or beach doggy! She is wonderful in a crate and completely quiet at night. She will alert when needed or if a guest arrives, but has otherwise surprisingly been a pretty quiet pup. She is mainly potty trained, but may have an accident here and there in a new environment. Story
Mila was kept in a pen outside and used as a breeding machine to make puppies and earn her owners money. When that stopped working, they dumped her at the shelter with her remaining unsellable puppy. They were so malnourished and underweight. Her nose was rubbed raw and her fur was in terrible condition. She’s come a long way in the last couple months since she was rescued. Mila is a beautiful and loving and amazing dog who is very handler oriented and very smart (she is a malinois after all). To be blunt though, she is NOT a dog for just anyone. No malinois is, but Mila’s bad start to life left her with some scars that you can’t see. She kennel reactive towards humans and dogs she doesn’t know or fully trust, she’s never bitten anyone but she is still a fearful dog. She’s pretty good with strangers on a leash or outside where there’s open space but indoors and especially in a kennel she gets very defensive. She trusts me and goes in and out of her kennel happily and willingly but she definitely has scared some guests to the house who walked into the room she was in. I love this dog with my whole heart and know what she deserves and what she can be with the proper environment. She’s very sensitive and emotional and smart and needs to be treated as such to thrive. She’s learned to walk well on leash, touch, heel, paw (or shake), sit, recall, and be house trained in just a few months, I know she is capable of so much more in the right hands, but I know she can also be a monster in the wrong hands, as she is of course a Malinois, and one with trauma at that. Breed experience is an absolute requirement for any adopter. If you have not owned a malinois, if you are a first time dog owner, if you don’t have the time to dedicate to a dog like this, please don’t apply. Malinois are beautiful dogs but they are not beginner dogs. If you believe you can offer this girl the perfect home for her, please apply! She is good with dogs, cats, and didn’t acknowledge my chickens though a fence separated them. She’s house trained and has some basic obedience but we are working on manners still like not jumping on her handler or the counter tops. She loves to cuddle and would like to live inside of her persons skin if she could. She loves her walks and would make the ideal running/hiking/walking partner for an active person who’s as dedicated to their dog as Mila will be to her owner. She is spayed, heart worm negative, microchipped, UTD on vaccines, dewormed and UTD on prevention.

Story
I'm looking for a new home for my dog. She's a little over 3 years old and she's potty trained, knows how to sit, stay, lay down and paw. We got her when she was only two months old from a junkyard. She has a very shy personality and is very protective of the home growling at anyone new that approaches the home so she makes for an excellent gaurd dog. Although she can look very intimidating she has never actually attacked or bitten any animal or person or living creature but she does show food aggression and thats why I have to rehome her. I have a two year old and we have tried to curb this behavior but I don't want to chance an accident ever happening. We haven't had the time for her since the baby was born so it probably stems from not enough active time. she would be the perfect dog for someone with lots of space that dosen't mind the shedding and has no small children.
