Story
"Hi, I'm Twix. My foster parents say I'm funny and silly; I love to gently run back and forth with a toy in my mouth first thing when I wake up, and I like to chew on hard toys while laying on my back and holding it with my paws, fetching is so fun, water is so fun... and I'm even starting to learn to catch a frisbee!
All silliness aside, I am house trained- I go poopoo and peepee outside only, as long as I'm taken out regularly (every 4-6 hours is ideal, and I sleep all night without going potty of course). My crate is like my cuña, my baby bed, and foster parents put me in here to nap by day and sometimes to sleep at night. My foster dad works from home which is really cool.
I live with a 6 year old collie mix, a 3 year old cool cat, and an 11 year old human boy~ my foster mom says she took me from Miami Dade Animal Services to 'rescue and find me a permanent home...' so I know this isn't my forever home.
Foster parents are just nice to share their little studio apt with me until someone wants me as their very own dog. I can't wait to have my very own home and person or family!
Oh, something else you might like about me- since I'm a tripod I don't jump on people and I rarely try to get on the furniture. And I have a nice deep bark to seem scary if needed... although I'm a really nice dog that loves everyone... it's just naturally in my doggy DNA to want to protect my family and home. :) You know, I can run like 2 miles even though I'm 3-legged?! So, yes, I could even be your jogging partner. I guess that's all for now. I'm been looking for a forever home since Thanksgiving so foster mom told me to 'come up with my own written depiction', and this was it. Thank you for considering me- I'm a really great dog in need of a great home."
Love,
Twix
P.S. Foster mom can be reached by text (we'll schedule a phone chat that way) at 786-307-5960, or simply email the rescue via this site.
A 'great home' is someone that will learn to love Twix, and care for her from day one. -You don't have to be rich, pretty, strong, or even exceptionally-smart to be a 'great dog owner,' you just have to be committed to providing a dog a good, loving home for its lifetime; in exchange you get an eternally-devoted best friend.
Adoption fee is whatever you're able to comfortably donate to this small, foster-based, strapped-on-finances 501c3 pet rescue.
Lastly, a long-term foster-to-adopt home could even be a good option for Twix since we're in a tiny studio.
