Story
I'm looking for a new home for my dog. She's a little over 3 years old and she's potty trained, knows how to sit, stay, lay down and paw. We got her when she was only two months old from a junkyard. She has a very shy personality and is very protective of the home growling at anyone new that approaches the home so she makes for an excellent gaurd dog. Although she can look very intimidating she has never actually attacked or bitten any animal or person or living creature but she does show food aggression and thats why I have to rehome her. I have a two year old and we have tried to curb this behavior but I don't want to chance an accident ever happening. We haven't had the time for her since the baby was born so it probably stems from not enough active time. she would be the perfect dog for someone with lots of space that dosen't mind the shedding and has no small children.

Zara will be available for adoption after 11/05/2024. Zara is loving life at her Foster! The foster says she loves having things to chew on. She's been given some safe chewies from our barkbox subscription, and she carries them inside or outside - wherever we are. She is being crated when we're away and for bed, and she's very good. We leave music on at night so she can't hear neighborhood sounds (she barks at lawnmowers and garbage trucks and tries to have conversations with dogs in other yards - can you blame her?) and she seems to enjoy Brahms. In the mornings, we throw tennis balls for her, and she brought them back about half the time. She lets me take the ball from her mouth and throw it again. She shows enough interest in chase and fetch that she could be trained to play frisbee. Zero will be available for adoption after 11/05/2024. For more up to date information on this dog please go to our website @ https://www.playk9rescue.org/adopt-a-dog Zero is literally the perfect boy despite where he came from💓 Zero is bigger than the average malinois (tall wise) he is all legs🫣🐾 He has shown nothing but happiness and love for everybody around him. He is a thin big guy But day by day, he is starting to gain a little weight and be able to run across the yard without his back shaking🥹 Zero Absolutely loves balls, but he will do anything for his green jolly ball(which will go with him when he is adopted) He also absolutely loves beds, mainly dog beds !! But he is also a huge cuddler loves to be held and talk to like a baby 🤣💓 He loves car rides. He does not pull on the leash for the most part.. he loves going into public and walk, especially when people pet him. He absolutely loves his Starbucks cups.!! He is great with dogs ,baby’s,kids all people basically. (Not sure of cats as he seems to be scared of them) He is down for any type of training session, especially if you have a in your hand. He is very easy to train. All he wants to do is please you!!! Zero is an energetic big ball of love! Story
Pandora will be available for adoption after 11/05/2024. She was very friendly upon intake. Foster update: Pandora 2 years old and still puppy-like in many ways. She is SO sweet and loves to give hugs! She warms up to women quickly, but may need a little bit of time to fully trust men. Sitting down and giving her treats has worked well. She does great with most other dogs, but may prefer a dog that doesn’t challenge her too much. Her best buddy here is my 15 lb dog, but I think she’d enjoy a friendly dog her size. She is very interested in my cat, but doesn’t seem to want to harm her. She has even given her kisses. Pandora craves lots of love and attention and really enjoys fetch or splashing in the baby pool. I have a feeling she could be a great boat or beach doggy! She is wonderful in a crate and completely quiet at night. She will alert when needed or if a guest arrives, but has otherwise surprisingly been a pretty quiet pup. She is mainly potty trained, but may have an accident here and there in a new environment. Story
Although she is somewhat shy with strangers, Mieli has been coming out of her shell as she experiences new people and places. She is progressing consistently meeting new people as long as it's done calmly and slowly. This brindle beauty is eight years young and loves long walks, enjoying quieter places without lots of activity and commotion. Although she walks well on leash, it is suggested to use a harness which gives her added security and also helps the handler with any potential pulling. She adores car rides and soft music and would make a great long-distance traveler. She is very food motivated and is learning to sit patiently as she shows off her silly one sided smile anticipating that special treat. Once she trusts you, she will be a faithful companion and will adore snuggling up by your side and getting tummy rubs. She loves to watch you with her soulful eyes and the tip of her tail moves joyously when you speak to her. If you are interested in meeting Meili and watching the light beam from her eyes, please fill out an adoption application (no commitment) at Satchelslastresort.org.
