In addition, as home life and rescue put the needs of our rescue dogs first, we regret that we were not able to get back to you. LEASH, HOUSE AND BASIC COMMAND TRAINED FULLY VETTED*** NEUTERED*** CHIPPED GREAT WITH PEOPLE OF ALL AGES***BLACK AND RED COAT Our German shepherd rescue is proud to present for adoption a young (9 months) Belgian Malinois, male, that is off the charts handsome. Our new boy goes by the name Zeus but he is probably the total antithesis of this moniker being super friendly, happy, playful and downright adorable. Zeus has a beautiful classic coat, comes in now at 60 pounds but will be upwards of 85 pounds, beautiful gait, great symmetry and extremely intelligent. This guy is great with other dogs, loves kids, loves play time, loves to train and is just fun to be around! Zeus works out daily with 11 other shepherds and a golden retriever, they put up with him and he is in heaven. This young man completed all of our socialization and training programs with ease reflecting a very high desire to train, superior confidence, strong desire to bond, very high intelligence and a strong but in control protective instinct. As the primary trainer for Zeus I can tell you, without qualification, that this dog has few if any limitations. With a less than desirable early life Zeus’s zest for life is quite remarkable. Our boy will fit in almost any home that will open its heart and let him in.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. DeeDee and her sister DOLLY was saved from a high kill shelter in Texas and arrived at Give a Dog a Home Rescue, in Sebec, Maine on 24th September.  We post in east coast states and Canada as we have many families adopt and are happy to make the worthwhile trip up to the rescue. We do not always have time to post all the pictures on each dogs individual page, but we do post a lot of photo's on the rescue Facebook page. DeeDee is spayed, rabies, core vaccines, monthly preventatives, heartworm and tick disease tested negative and is microchipped with 24PetWatch. She has an estimated date of birth of September 2023 and on 22 September weighed 50 pounds. We have no way of knowing the breed, it is up to individuals to look at the pictures and videos to make up their own mind. The shelter noted the following on 2 September about both girls who were taken to the play group individually: Not feeling quite confident on the leash yet, was carried to the yard. She wasn't feeling confident enough to join in with the others at this time. She was standoffish and could feel overwhelmed at times.   Kennel visit - 5 September Stayed on bed and was licking my hands but when I went to pet her she kept flinching and moving her head. Got off the bed and continued to lick hands but still flinched when tried to pet her. We are looking for families that have the lifestyle that the dog needs to lead a healthy, both mentally and physically life, who can afford a GOOD quality food, toys and treats and understand the importance of veterinary wellness checks.  She does need an active family who will ensure she gets all the exercise, both mentally and physically that she needs to live a happy fulfilling life. DeeDee is available for an adoption fee of $550 or if adopted with her sister DOLLY the adoption fee is $1,000 for both girls. Interested families are required to complete our application process and once approved schedule an appointment to come to the rescue in SEBEC, Maine to meet and take home their new best friend. Our process takes 1-2 days as long as we are able to talk to references, so be prepared to be approved (hopefully) to adopt within a few days of submitting the adoption application. Story
Meet Ranger, the intelligent and active Belgian Malinois/German Shepherd mix with a heart full of love and boundless energy. This handsome boy is a fast learner and has mastered essential commands like sit, down, wait, and shake. He's so clever that he tackled a level 3 puzzle on his first try! Ranger is a well-behaved and well-trained pup, making him a pleasure to have around the house. He's house trained, crate trained, and shows no signs of destructiveness indoors. However, he does experience some separation anxiety when his human leaves the house, which is why he's kept in his crate during errands. But don't worry, when he's playing in the backyard with his furry friend, he's perfectly content and doesn't exhibit any separation anxiety. Ranger is an active boy who loves going on walks, and he'll gladly accompany you on all your outdoor adventures. While Ranger is intelligent and affectionate, he can be barrier reactive, meaning he may react when he encounters certain barriers or boundaries. Patience and positive reinforcement training can help him overcome this behavior. This is very typical behavior for both breeds and he absolutely has to be adopted into a Mali/GSD knowledgeable family/ Ranger was in pretty rough shape when rescued and the vet initially thought he had an intestinal disease. Nothing was definitively diagnosed but the vet believes he has small intestinal issues. He is on a folate vitamin daily and will just need annual lab work and a high quality RAW FOOD diet. Ranger's charm and charisma shine through in the photos and videos provided, capturing his playful and loving nature. If you're looking for a smart, active, and affectionate companion, Ranger is the perfect match. Give him the love and care he deserves, and he'll reward you with loyalty and companionship like no other. Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $400 (includes transport to your area - $50 Temporary Fuel Charge will be added)

Bailey is a 3–4-year-old female with a beautiful classic coat, she loves people and will play as long as you are willing to participate. Our challenge with Bailey was that she had gone into a deep depression over the death of one of her owners and the loss of the other owner to health restrictions. It took time but or Bailey has come out the other side and is flourishing, her bond and commitment was awe inspiring. Once she decided that life could continue, she has become the classic super smart shepherd. Bailey will top out around 75-80 pounds and will be the ultimate shadow dog and ultimate companion. This girl has great symmetry, perfect gait, and strong athletic body and runs like she is floating on air. As you would imagine Bailey performed extremely well during our socialization and training program, reflecting strong character, strong desire to bond, strong desire to please and a strong desire train. We have found Bailey to be good with adults and children, being both playful and protective in a controlled manner. This young lady will do best in loving home environment where someone is home most of the time or she is with her owner most of the time.

This young lady is without a doubt one of the most striking, show quality females that we have worked with in quite a while. Ginger’s gait is absolutely perfect and her symmetry is perfect and her overall appearance is perfect. Our girl has a medium long, flowing, red and black silk coat. This young lady has overcome starvation, isolation, physical abuse and parasitic infections to become a beautiful and wonderful representation of the breed. Ginger is great with other dogs, kids and adults, always gentle, loving, playful and affectionate. This young lady will probably end up being quite small in size, probably 55 to 60 pounds but what she lacks in size she makes up for in intelligence and desire. We have found ginger to be very open and accepting, just a pure pleasure to be around. Of course our girl performed very well in all of our socialization and training programs revealing a strong desire to please, a strong desire to bond, high trainability and a strong but in control protective instinct. Ginger is not a dog that will lounge around in the background, where you go so will she, Velcro comes to mind! All kidding aside, if you want wonderful and loving best friend then ginger is your girl!
