LEASH, HOUSE AND BASIC COMMAND TRAINED FULLY VETTED*** NEUTERED*** CHIPPED GREAT WITH PEOPLE OF ALL AGES***BLACK AND RED COAT Our German shepherd rescue is proud to present for adoption a young (9 months) Belgian Malinois, male, that is off the charts handsome. Our new boy goes by the name Zeus but he is probably the total antithesis of this moniker being super friendly, happy, playful and downright adorable. Zeus has a beautiful classic coat, comes in now at 60 pounds but will be upwards of 85 pounds, beautiful gait, great symmetry and extremely intelligent. This guy is great with other dogs, loves kids, loves play time, loves to train and is just fun to be around! Zeus works out daily with 11 other shepherds and a golden retriever, they put up with him and he is in heaven. This young man completed all of our socialization and training programs with ease reflecting a very high desire to train, superior confidence, strong desire to bond, very high intelligence and a strong but in control protective instinct. As the primary trainer for Zeus I can tell you, without qualification, that this dog has few if any limitations. With a less than desirable early life Zeus’s zest for life is quite remarkable. Our boy will fit in almost any home that will open its heart and let him in.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. DeeDee and her sister DOLLY was saved from a high kill shelter in Texas and arrived at Give a Dog a Home Rescue, in Sebec, Maine on 24th September.  We post in east coast states and Canada as we have many families adopt and are happy to make the worthwhile trip up to the rescue. We do not always have time to post all the pictures on each dogs individual page, but we do post a lot of photo's on the rescue Facebook page. DeeDee is spayed, rabies, core vaccines, monthly preventatives, heartworm and tick disease tested negative and is microchipped with 24PetWatch. She has an estimated date of birth of September 2023 and on 22 September weighed 50 pounds. We have no way of knowing the breed, it is up to individuals to look at the pictures and videos to make up their own mind. The shelter noted the following on 2 September about both girls who were taken to the play group individually: Not feeling quite confident on the leash yet, was carried to the yard. She wasn't feeling confident enough to join in with the others at this time. She was standoffish and could feel overwhelmed at times.   Kennel visit - 5 September Stayed on bed and was licking my hands but when I went to pet her she kept flinching and moving her head. Got off the bed and continued to lick hands but still flinched when tried to pet her. We are looking for families that have the lifestyle that the dog needs to lead a healthy, both mentally and physically life, who can afford a GOOD quality food, toys and treats and understand the importance of veterinary wellness checks.  She does need an active family who will ensure she gets all the exercise, both mentally and physically that she needs to live a happy fulfilling life. DeeDee is available for an adoption fee of $550 or if adopted with her sister DOLLY the adoption fee is $1,000 for both girls. Interested families are required to complete our application process and once approved schedule an appointment to come to the rescue in SEBEC, Maine to meet and take home their new best friend. Our process takes 1-2 days as long as we are able to talk to references, so be prepared to be approved (hopefully) to adopt within a few days of submitting the adoption application. Story
Meet Ranger, the intelligent and active Belgian Malinois/German Shepherd mix with a heart full of love and boundless energy. This handsome boy is a fast learner and has mastered essential commands like sit, down, wait, and shake. He's so clever that he tackled a level 3 puzzle on his first try! Ranger is a well-behaved and well-trained pup, making him a pleasure to have around the house. He's house trained, crate trained, and shows no signs of destructiveness indoors. However, he does experience some separation anxiety when his human leaves the house, which is why he's kept in his crate during errands. But don't worry, when he's playing in the backyard with his furry friend, he's perfectly content and doesn't exhibit any separation anxiety. Ranger is an active boy who loves going on walks, and he'll gladly accompany you on all your outdoor adventures. While Ranger is intelligent and affectionate, he can be barrier reactive, meaning he may react when he encounters certain barriers or boundaries. Patience and positive reinforcement training can help him overcome this behavior. This is very typical behavior for both breeds and he absolutely has to be adopted into a Mali/GSD knowledgeable family/ Ranger was in pretty rough shape when rescued and the vet initially thought he had an intestinal disease. Nothing was definitively diagnosed but the vet believes he has small intestinal issues. He is on a folate vitamin daily and will just need annual lab work and a high quality RAW FOOD diet. Ranger's charm and charisma shine through in the photos and videos provided, capturing his playful and loving nature. If you're looking for a smart, active, and affectionate companion, Ranger is the perfect match. Give him the love and care he deserves, and he'll reward you with loyalty and companionship like no other. Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $400 (includes transport to your area - $50 Temporary Fuel Charge will be added)

CLASSIC BLACK AND TAN GOOD WITH PEOPLE GOOD WITH OTHER DOGS NEUTERED CHIPPED FULLY VETTED LEASH, HOUSE AND BASIC COMMAND TRAINED ADOPTION DATE 07-13-24 Our German shepherd rescue is proud to present for adoption a beautiful, black and tan, male, 18-month-old, German shepherd that goes by the name of Lucah. This wonderful guy came to us, abused, malnourished and isolated, to his credit he gave us a chance and has transitioned to the lovable sweetheart that we know today. Our boy is great with adults, children and other dogs, which is amazing since he was crate locked 24-7 for more than a year. Lucah is now a healthy 75 pound pup with a zest for life and a depth that exceeds his age. This guy is all German shepherd even though he does not have the classic black nose, so he can't be a show dog, it happens. Any shortcomings that Lucah may have he more than compensates for with his uncanny ability to life with ease and confidence. It is obvious that we at our rescue are very impressed with the development of Lucah, we learned more about handling hardships from him than he ever learned from us - "the teacher became the student". Our boy completed all of our socialization and training modules successfully, revealing strong character, social affinity, human drive and training desire. Mr. Lucah will bond strongly and be a great family protector. All anyone will have to do to be successful with this dog is open your heart and let him in.

VITALS & BIO LEASH, HOUSE AND BASIC COMMAND TRAINED****SPAYED GREAT WITH PEOPLE AND OTHER DOGS CHIPPED DARK BLACK AND TAN SHORT COAT****FULLY VETTED ADOPTED ON 08-24-24 It is with great pleasure that our German shepherd rescue is ready to announce the availability for adoption of the lovely young lady "Coco"! This wonderful lady is 18 months old, dark black and tan, small stature ( 60-70 pounds ), highly athletic, perfect symmetry, great demeanor and of course sweet as the come. Coco came to us along with Ace, both had been terribly mishandled including physical and mental abuse. Watching these pups overcome the past and step strongly into the future is an amazing enrichment for anyone. Our girl Coco is everything a German shepherd should be, loyal, alert, curious, friendly, open and of course a strong but in control protective instinct. This young lady misses nothing, she is always aware of her surroundings reading the situation and reacting appropriately. Between Coco's intellect, situational awareness and social skill there is little that can throw her way that she cannot handle. Though great with people, other dogs and children, one must open their heart and let her in to see her greatness. Coco performed very well in our socialization and training program revealing a strong desire to bond with humans, strong desire to train, great social skills and almost impossible to outthink! It is obvious that i, as her trainer, think very highly of Coco. To see her excel after her hard times is beyond description and is a true blessing. I believe that this young lady will fit in almost in good family situation that can provide her needs of exercise, continued training and unconditional love

BLACK AND TAN COATS LEASH, HOUSE AND BASIC COMMAND TRAINED SPAYED***CHIPPED***FULLY VETTED GOOD WITH PEOPLE AND OTHER DOGS ADOPTION DATE 07-13-24 BONDED WITH SPICE: Our German shepherd rescue brought in a bonded pair named Sugar and Spice, both females. Due to our unique skills in dealing with severely abused animals, we were their only chance of not only surviving but thriving. These two girls have not only shown a tremendous will to live but a strong desire to thrive. They have opened up entirely to us, trusting people, trusting other dogs, desiring human presence, training very well and above all else just being happy dogs. These special creatures have taught me more about life than I could ever teach them, never quit, look for the good in people, total devotion and never stop loving: SUGAR Sugar - Smaller Of the Two, Will Be Between 50-55 Pounds  Older Of the Two - 3 Years  Medium Length, Black and Tan Coat  Most Severely Abused  Starved  Neck Scars from a Cable Tie Out  Both Rear Legs Carry Scars from Shackles  Left Rear Leg Broken  Heavily Parasitic  Isolated Luckily MS Sugar has not only overcome these issues but has decided move on and enjoy life! SPICE Spice - Larger Of the Two - 65-70 Pounds  Younger of the Two - 18-24 Months  Classic Black And Tan with Beautiful Definition  Abuse  Starved  Isolated  Heavily Parasitic  Had Only Sugar to Rely On For Support and Protection Spice not only decided to overcome her past but leaped forward becoming a loving and happy young lady. Our girl now plays with all, is happy go lucky and extremely supportive of Sugar. Both dogs have been through our socialization and training programs, excelling in all aspects. I would love to take credit for the evolution but this was all about them and God! I believe that this pair would flourish in any family home that is loving, supportive, understanding and willing to accept them as family members.
