Story
Gavin gets along very well with other dogs and has no fear of them at all. He is improving with potty training but is not fully trained yet. He is a very high-energy puppy who likes to be involved in everything and will happily follow you around the house. He is currently crate training and will howl when he needs to be let out to go to the bathroom during the night. He is very quick to train with treats. He is very food motivated and not food possessive. He can also be quite vocal if he knows you are home but he is in another room or in his crate and will cry until he is let out. Gavin is very smart and would do best with an active family who understands the Malinois breed and their energy level. He is extremely active and always wants to play and doesn’t need as much nap time as other puppies. ##2667790##

Story
Gabby is very sweet but quite shy. She is cautious and can be scared of new things such as unfamiliar places, people, and dogs. She does warm up over time, but it takes her a while to feel safe and start playing. When she gets scared, she may try to hide. Gabby is crate trained and feels safe in her crate. She will sometimes cry a little when she wants to be let out, but overall she is not very vocal at this stage. She is still learning potty training and it is taking her some time, but she is very motivated by treats. She has no food aggression and absolutely loves her foster sister, although she doesn’t quite understand the concept of personal space yet. If placed in a home with other dogs, they should be non-aggressive and very patient with her while she gains confidence. Gabby does have plenty of energy when she feels comfortable and wants to play, but she is also calm and enjoys cuddling once she feels safe. She doesn’t bite much, except occasionally when she gets very playful and forgets she isn’t playing with her brother. Gabby is sensitive and can get very scared if voices are raised, so she will do best with calm, gentle training. ##2667791##

Story
Gio is a lover boy. He loves to cuddle and give kisses, he even loves to give kisses to his sister. Gio's tail will wag back and forth if you hold him and he will climb into your lap if you sit down. Gio is a fun guy as well. He loves toys, and especially loves to fetch a ball. He is a little more sensitive than his sister and it works better to redirect than to be firm with him. Sometimes if I tell his sister "no", he will go sit in the kennel, just to make sure he is being a good boy. He does have an energetic side; he loves to run and wrestle with his sister. he is generally a sweet boy who really pays attention to everyone around him.  ##2667787##

Story
Ursa, 2-3 yo, malinois, 56 lb, spayed femaleUrsa showed up one night at someone's farm with her puppy Hutla, apparently abandoned. She is gorgeous, loyal, a lot of love and rather calm and cooperative. She is good with another friendly male dog and her puppy Hutla who used to hide under her at first. However malinois are more like shepherds and should be on a leash around stranger dogs. She needs a secure yard with 6' fence. Hutla, smaller malinois mix, 48 lb, female, spayed, 1 yoHutla is a beautiful, sweet, waggy, happy girl. She looks like a very small shepherd, she is young, playful,  obedient and trainable.  She was abandoned in the fields and showed up one night at someone's farm with her mom Ursa. Needs to be guided with  patience gentleness as she is young and often acts puppy-like. She is loving and cuddly. She is rather friendly and submissive with the other dogs, but gets nervous at first and needs proper introduction. Better with the male dogs. Good on a leash. Story
Belgian malinois,  Siberian husky and German Shepherd -- need I say more?   Belgian (intelligent, agile and motivated).  Husky (stubborn, energetic and talkative). German Shepherd (loyal, mouthy, highly trainable)- is a perfect combination of all his breeds.     Monkey is a true example of dedication to his person. Even after knowing his foster mom briefly, he will lean into her, stare at her lovingly and await her commands. He is initially shy with people and dogs, and he vocalizes with a woo, woo woo, and a little growl. His ruff will come up, and then his tail wags, and his excitement shines through and he loves a new buddy to play with. Take him on a car ride and he will jump in and lay down like the bestest boy. He is quiet and unconcerned with the path, but happy to be along for the ride. Monkey has done well with a jumpy nippy puppy, a bossy, mommy figure, and even the dogs bigger than him who just wanna play. He’s approximately 70 pounds and almost 8 months so he has some growing to do but this sweet baby just wants some love. He needs some fine-tuning with his training but his demonstrated a desire to do what is asked and will do it enthusiastically.   Monkey is house trained, doggie door trained and will sleep alone peacefully (or in a human bed preferably).  Monkey has been shuffled around his entire short life but is looking for an active person to commit to forever.  He is fostered in Colorado Springs  ##2472988##

Story
Big Boy was part of 3 puppies we rescued in Texas. Mom was dumped and had her litter of 8 puppies. Big Boy is super smart, treat/food motivated, and has a curious instinct. He loves treat-dispensing toys and any toys that require him to sniff out treats. Out of the 3, Big Boy was always first to learn something new, and his siblings followed. He loves playing with his siblings and can share toys for the most part, but he is always interested in the toys that his siblings have. Big Boy is still learning boundaries, such as not eating his siblings food or taking his siblingstreat-dispensing toys away. For this reason, we tend to feed/ give treat-dispensing toys separately. Big Boy is potty-trained. Big Boy attends puppy training classes he knows sit, down, touch, stand, lets go. Big Boy is curious about my moms cat, but the cat is not ready to interact with Big Boy. He will try to sniff her or eat the cat food. He gets along great with my brother 7-year-old Black Lab and 13 week Corgi.

Story
My name is Dana I am almost two. I was adopted a couple summers ago, but my older sister has started picking fights with me, so my dad wants me to live somewhere safer for me. I am a very smart german shepherd cross. I have learned how to open the back door by myself and to get out of any chain link fence by opening the gate. I need a home where I can fulfill my active lifestyle. I am a very active girl and enjoy running around and wrestling with my siblings. I currently live with my older sister and a dachshund brother. I like to play, and have a rowdy playstyle, so would be best matched with another dog that appreciates that! I am very smart and have learned how to sit and stay. I look forward to meeting you and hoping you can teach me new and wonderful things. If you're interested in meeting me please fill out an application at www.thegooddogrescue.org (If you already have an approved application, please email thegooddogrescueadoptions@gmail.com with your interest in me!) My adoption fee is $300 and I am spayed, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations ##1745197##

Story
Hi there, my name is Leila. I'm the best dog greeter in my doggie daycare. I love balls and toys, going for car rides and love to play with dogs and people.  I walk well on leash, but am scared of bikes and scooters - wheelie things are weird!  I am extremely affectionate and loveable. I have a million facial expressions. I love being outside and playing in the snow. I'm working on my nice leash walking, but am making good progress. I love to explore and sometimes my nose leads me off path.  I would make a great addition to an active home preferably with another dog!  If you're interested in meeting me please fill out an application at www.thegooddogrescue.org (If you already have an approved application, please email thegooddogrescueadoptions@gmail.com with your interest in me!)
