Story
Hello there, I'm Rubi. My mom was full Belgian Malinois and my dad was half Golden Retriever and half Lab! I found myself available for adoption because my sister and I like to chase chickens. Life in my foster is okay, but I dream of a home where I can show my sweet and friendly nature. I'm a bit shy at first, but once I get to know you, we'll be best friends. I'm hoping for a patient person who will give me time to come out of my shell. I promise, I'm worth it. With a little love and patience, I know I can be the perfect companion. Adopt me and let's make beautiful memories together. If you're interested in adopting me, fill out an adoption application online at www.polkcountyhumanesociety.org/adopt where you will also find a link to reserve me for an appointment. Some pets are in foster homes or may already have an appointment scheduled, so the appointment is important to make sure I will be available to meet you when you come. Polk County Humane Society is located in Bolivar, Missouri, but also makes transports to the Denver, CO, Des Moines, IA and St. Louis areas twice monthly. For potential adopters in those areas, we can do a virtual visit using FaceTime or another app. Just request an appointment using the same link, but note that you want the visit to be virtual. We will call you at the time of the visit once it is confirmed. For long distance transports to Colorado and Iowa, there is an additional $100 fee to cover the cost of the transport ($65) and a health certificate from a veterinarian ($35). For transports to St. Louis, the additional fee is $50 to help cover gas. Going that last mile home for our sweet pets! All of our pets are neutered or spayed, have vaccinations appropriate for their age, treated with flea/tick/heartworm prevention, dewormed and dogs are also microchipped. #adoptdontshop ##2032133##

Story
Hutla, smaller malinois mix, 48 lb, female, spayed, 1 yoHutla is a beautiful, sweet, waggy, happy girl. She looks like a very small shepherd, she is young, playful,  obedient and trainable.  She was abandoned in the fields and showed up one night at someone's farm with her mom Ursa. Needs to be guided with  patience gentleness as she is young and often acts puppy-like. She is loving and cuddly. She is rather friendly and submissive with the other dogs, but gets nervous at first and needs proper introduction. Better with the male dogs. Good on a leash. Needs a fenced yard with 6' fence. Adoption fee $325. If interested, please submit an adoption or foster application at https://www.sanNicolaDogRescue.com      October 18, 2024, 12:21 am

Story
Ursa, 2-3 yo, malinois, 56 lb, spayed femaleUrsa showed up one night at someones farm with her puppy Hutla, apparently abandoned. She is gorgeous, loyal, a lot of love and rather calm and cooperative. She is good with another friendly male dog and her puppy Hutla who used to hide under her at first. However malinois are more like shepherds and should be on a leash around stranger dogs. She needs a secure yard with 6' fence. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. AdoptaGSD.org   Please consider that some of these dogs have been abandoned or ignored by their previous owners, having little interaction with someone who cares about them. When adopted, they will need time to adjust to the changes in their life. We are cross-posting Arlo, who is with All Mixed Up Rescue. He is just short of being two years old and he is on the hunt for his forever home. Since he is a Belgian Malinois, adopters must be familiar with the breed and have experience in working with and training them. Arlo is a sweet boy who lives people but requires a strong handler to keep is attention. He loves to train and learn new tricks, especially when treats are involved. He walks great on leash and will heel when given the command. He would do best as an only dog. He also needs a home without young childrenbecause they cause him to be stressed with their energy. He does have a high prey drive, so no cats or small critters. Arlo completed a training program, so he knows his commands. His adoption fee is $400. If you are interested in this special boy, please submit your application to https://allmixedupdogrescue.org/adopt/Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. Although we do our best to keep our adoptable animals page as current as possible, the animals you see may already be in an adoption process.   November 1, 2024, 4:34 pm

AdoptaGSD.org   Please consider that some of these dogs have been abandoned or ignored by their previous owners, having little interaction with someone who cares about them. When adopted, they will need time to adjust to the changes in their life. Hi, my name is Augustine, and I'm a handsome Malinois puppy with an estimated DOB of 4/29/24 who was transferred, along with my mom and two siblings, to FRGSR from a shelter where we were surrendered by our former owner who didn't want to care for us anymore. Because the shelter we were in was very full, we were placed on the euthanasia list, but thanks to FRGSR, we were given a second chance at life. I'm currently living in a foster home with some other "land sharks" (Malinois) and I'm doing great! My foster mom says I have a low to medium drive, I'm house trained, crate trained and I'm very food motivated! I'm eager to learn and I enjoy the company of another dog with a calm personality. I tend to get over-whelmed with high energy dogs if they don't have boundaries.  I love to be the center of attention and I can easily entertain myself with toys. I especially love ice cubes! I'm looking for a home with someone who has Malinois experience and can provide me with the mental and physical stimulation I'll need to keep me happy. If you are interested, please go to adoptagsd.org and submit an online application. My adoption fee is $550.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.
