Story
My name is Ms. Marley and I am an affectionate, sweet, playful, smart, and quiet 1.5 year old gal. I am part Belgian Malinois and part Labrador retriever. I weigh about 62 lbs and I measure about 20 inches at my shoulder. There is a good chance that I will greatly benefit from a 'job' within my family home. After all, my breed background is to be a working dog. I am not likely to be a dog who sits in front of the fire and just relaxes most of the day.  When I was about four or five months old, I got a viral enteritis causing diarrhea. My then “owner” didn’t want to spend the money to get me treated so I was dropped off at the terrible shelter in Wuhan, China. The terrible shelter wouldn’t take me because they didn’t want to spend the money treating me either. A really nice lady volunteer took me to her vet to get me treated and brought me to her shelter. I have been at her shelter for about a year. I am a good girl who loves to play, being still a young pup. I get along very well with the other dogs and I also love my rescuer and her family. I so long to have a family I can call my own and to flourish with them. I'm told that I am very trainable. So far, I have some leash-walking skills and I have a nice relationship with my rescuer's young daughter. I don't know any cats so I'm not sure how I would be around them. I have been spayed, microchipped, and immunized. My adoption fee is $750.00 CAD plus applicable taxes.  Disclaimer: It is important for all applicants to visit our website, http://www.lovedatlastdogrescue.ca/adopting/ and read about Loved at Last Dog Rescue.Information included in the profile is provided to us from the international rescuer or local fosters. LALDR does not have access to overseas dogs and cannot always verify the accuracy of their descriptions. Every dog is an individual and can act differently in different situations based on the person adopting them and the environment in which they live. Please Note: LALDR highly encourages adopters to research some local dog trainers before their dog arrives. Although a 1-on-1 trainer is often not needed, it is good to have someone in mind in case any problematic behaviours arise. Most bad behaviours can be modified if caught early enough, so make sure to nip undesirable behaviours in the bud before they become serious problems.Basic training should be taken seriously, but should not begin until your dog is well settled in - at least a couple of weeks. After you feel your new dog is relaxed and comfortable in their new home, check out training courses in your local area. Even basic beginner courses like those taught at a local pet store can have a huge benefit in helping your dog learn to socialize and get used to being in public situations, all with the added benefit of strengthening their bond with you. The age and breed of a dog is usually an educated guess, so we are not able to guarantee the accuracy of age or breed of our dogs. Normally, we will not approve adoptions to homes with children under 12 years of age. However if a dog has been determined to be good with children we will approve applicants with children 8 years or older. More information can be found on our website. ##2053001##

Story
🐾 Hello! I’m Sugar! 🐾 I’m a 3-year-old male Malinois mix with a sleek black coat. Weighing in at 35 kg, I’m a big, cool, and smart pup looking for my forever home! 🐶 My Story: I was rescued from a kill shelter just in time, and now I’m ready to find a loving family. I stayed in a foster home for a year, where I was friendly and had a good relationship with my foster mom. 🏡 My Personality: • I’m quite shy around strangers, but give me 3 days to a week, and I’ll become friendly. 🤗 • I like to greet other dogs, but I don’t always play with them. 🐕 • I’m generally friendly towards dogs my size or smaller. 🐾 • I haven’t met any cats yet, so I’m not sure how I’d react. 🐱 • I enjoy outdoor activities but also love to rest quietly afterward. 🌳 have plenty of walking experience and follow people well without pulling on the leash. 🚶‍♂️ • I don’t guard my food against people or other dogs. 🥣 • I’m a quiet boy and hardly ever bark. 🐾 • I’m calm when put in a kennel. 🏠 • I generally only do my business outside. 🚽 Important to Know: • It takes time for me to build a relationship with strangers, usually 1 to 2 weeks. 🕒 • I’m not food-motivated and don’t take snacks from strangers. 🍪 • I might seem unmannered or too aggressive with other dogs because I think I’m a small dog and try to play with them. 🐶 • Other dogs might be intimidated by my behavior because of my size. 🐕 Fun Fact: I’m very cool and smart, showing all the characteristics of a Malinois.🦴 If you’re looking for a sweet, smart, and affectionate companion, I’m your guy! Let’s make some wonderful memories together. 🏡❤️ Love, Sugar 🐾🖤

Story
🐶 Quick Facts 🐾 • Name: Gongtan • Age: 1 year old • Gender: Male • Neutered: Yes • Breed: Malinois mix • Colour: Black (99%)/white (1%) • Weight: 23kg 🐕 Me and Humans👨🏻 Ain't no German Shepherd, ain't no Jindo. I am Gongtan, one year old Malinois mix boy, weighing 23kg. I am covered with 99% sleek black coat. I am an energetic and social boy, always welcoming hoomans and furry friends. Whether they are strangers or my friends, I politely greet everybody and allow them to rub and pet my back. Holding me under by belly is also possible. Not just grown ups, but I get along very well with kids under 13 years 👶🏻 old. They are soooo fun to play with! But I know I should not jump on strangers, seniors, kids, or hoomans that fear me. Instead, if hoomans want to give me a hug, I will gently rely myself on them. It is going to feel like I am melting on you! 🐕With Dogs and Cats🐕 Just like my hooman friends, I also approach to my furry friends because I want to play with them. Some furry friends not necessarily want to play with me and if that is the case, I do not bother them. Personal space matters!!! I consider cats🐱 as my friends too. I have lived with a cat named Rectol for months and we were very good friends! Just like how I would hang around with my own kind, when Rectol did not feel like playing with me, I did not bother him at all. Sometimes when Rectol punched my face 😾 (whether it was an accident or not...?), I did not take it personally because he was my friend haha. We always slept in the same bed and had no issue at all. During walks, I have seen other cats and of course I took a quick glance, but I did not go crazy or anything. 🔋 Energy & Activities & Walks🚶‍♀️ In terms of my energy level, I am very active! It must be my Malinois gene where I need to do a lot of outdoor adventures to stay calm at home. I usually visit doggie gym twice a week where I can run freely all day and often visit dog cafes to meet new friends. As long as I get my daily exercise, I can stay calm but if not, I might bite things like plushies, electrical plugs, papers, etc. So, in case you cannot take me outside, just remember to provide me with toys that I can play and bite. Did you know that I love walking 🚶‍♀️? I might pull on the leash a bit, but I will be under your control and guidance! I have experience walking with several volunteers and strangers and I got a lot of compliments! My current foster pawrent unfortunately had a car accident not too long ago and is unable to walk or guide my other friends, but I have no problem with my pawrent as I know how to control myself under circumstances. ❤️Car Rides & Crate❤️ Since I was a very little puppy, I was crate-trained but I cannot exactly tell you if I am still good inside crates because I eventually got too big and had no chance to get inside one for a long time. I will probably need to get tested again but I was good before! Cars? 🚙 Oh man... I used to throw up 🤢 before during my car ride (especially when I ate before the ride) but it has gone much better. I can now eat during my car ride and know how to get inside the car by myself. 🚽 Guarding & Potty Break & Barking🐾 I usually do not guard my food against my hoomans but sometimes my furry friends try to eat my food while I am eating. In this case, I would bark once to back off. I normally do not bark but I might bark when there is a stranger approaching my home (my pawrent called him a delivery man. I have no idea what that means.. but they always came, left boxes, and left right away without saying hi to me!!!!). Although I can do my business 💩 inside and outside, I prefer to do it outside 🚽. For some reason I do not feel very comfortable doing my business while I am on the leash (do not ask me why because I have no idea why either) but I can easily do it while I am running or walking freely without my leash. Although I am a boy, I do not lift my leg while I pee 🟨 and of course, I never mark around. Did you know that I sometimes experience indigestion when I am exposed to a new environment or to new food/treats🍪? You will have an idea when my stool seems to be a bit liquidy🌊. If this ever happens, there is no need to worry about it. Just give me some probiotics as it could help. 💌Last Message 💕 I am currently living with my foster pawrent, as well as four (4) other furry friends and one (1) cat. I get along with everyone very well and have no issue at all. My pawrent usually put my kibbles in my bowl and I eat whenever I feel like eating. I love tug-of-war, and playing with plushies and balls, but I love my hoomans WAY MORE! I am a very smart boy who can live in both cities and villages. When hoomans recall, I know I must go back to them. My ideal forever home would be a place where I could actively play with my pawrents. If there is another energetic furry friend already, that would be pawsome!!! If you are looking for a clever furry companion that could actively go on hiking and lots of outdoor adventures, I will be the perfect one for you! Contact my team for more information!!!! 💕😊 📺 For more videos📺 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I8XFFNvWfsg&list=PLIsLTtIpe3Jz083kTM-NT6yZaiUiq-t4J

Story
Name: Annie OakleyBreed: German Shepherd mixAge: 4 yrsGender: feWgt/Hgt: 55 lbs / 22 inches Highlights: playful, tripaw, joyful, very affectionate, independent, low exercise needs - no walking needed Energy level: low Relations: great with dogs once comfortable with them, good with kids, not good with cats  Hi everyone, my name is Annie Oakley. I am a beautiful and very happy girl, but that hasn't always been true for me. I used to live in the Middle East where at the very tender age of eight months I became pregnant. I was much too young to become a mother and all my puppies died. In addition, my rear leg had been badly damaged, probably from being hit by a car. In the country I came from, dogs are considered vermin and people often deliberately hit us with their cars in attempts to kill us. My wounds became badly infected and I was in terrible pain by the time I was finally rescued. By the time I was taken to a veterinarian, my leg needed to be amputated. Despite this I am very mobile and can easily climb stairs. I can't go on long hikes but normal length walks are perfect for me.  I am a very loving and affectionate girl who has a real love of life. I enjoy the company of other dogs, once I trust them. I currently live happily with several dogs of all sizes. It can take a few visits for me to feel safe with other dogs for me to let my guard down with other dogs. Given this, it could potentially be difficult for a prospective adopter to take the necessary time I require to become familiar with their dog-- so a home without another dog is best for me. I am happy being the only dog in the home as my true love is people. I have the cutest habit of splaying my front legs out wide when I want you to play with me. And if you pet me and stop and I want some more, I will wrap my front legs around yours to "trap" you and keep you with me. Adorable, right?! I am a really easy dog to care for, and to love. I very much enjoy being outside, so a fenced yard is important to me. In fact, I don't even need or want to go on walks. Because of my missing rear leg, I often find walking too strenuous and much prefer hanging out with my person inside the home or outside in the yard. A covered deck for me to hang out on, watching birds and squirrels, is essential for me. While I am a joyful soul, I am not at all hyper or high energy. At home I am very calm and relaxed. Layin on my bed chewing on a marrow bone or a chew stick is one of my favourite pasttimes! There is no way you could be unhappy with me around.  I am spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. My adoption fee is $600 plus applicable taxes* Disclaimer: It is important for all applicants to visit our website, http://www.lovedatlastdogrescue.ca/adopting/ and read about Loved at Last Dog Rescue.Information included in the profile is provided to us from the international rescuer or local fosters. While most dogs find escorting passengers flying directly to Vancouver, some will find flights through Toronto or  Montreal. In that case, additional fees will apply to fly your dog to Vancouver by cargo. Unaccompanied cargo costs within Canada range from $350 - $550 depending on the size of the dog. LALDR will be as transparent as possible with you regarding these costs. Vaccinations: Dogs from the Middle East are vaccinated for rabies, parvo, distemper, leptospirosis, adenovirus type 1 and para-influenza. Bordatella is not given, as that has not been a problem in the Middle East. ##951485##

Story
Good day!  My name is Marlin (aka Martin) and I'd love to tell you a bit about me!  I'm an older guy (born in May 2007), a mix of german shepherd/canaan breeds, and I've never lived in a proper stable home environment.  I'm quite an energetic dog and my favourite place to be at the shelter is outdoors.  I can be somewhat selective with the dog friends I make, and while I can play nicely with them, I think I'd prefer to be the only resident dog in my forever home.  I need a fair amount of exercise, so will be most pleased with a very active family. As you can see, I am a very smiley, happy boy.  https://youtu.be/Ua0EzZr-qNcAfter being confiscated from a neglectful home, I went to a local shelter when I was around 1 year old. I have been at the shelter since then and it is about time I find a home!  Having never received consistent, dedicated training from humans, I need a fairly experienced handler/owner who knows about & has experience with training. Since I have never lived in a home before, having a yard would be good, so I can acclimate to living inside better, by having plenty of outdoor time, where I feel most comfortable right now. I hope you are willing to give me time to understand a house is a great place to be.I have had basic training: leash walking with a halti, heel, sit, down, bed/place, in addition to exposure to other dogs. Continued training and review of what I know would be good. I'm a smart pupper, so could learn tricks too https://youtu.be/Lr8EJ2Zkc1I. Here I am calm at the vet's office: https://youtu.be/udM_Cc-MOgk. Energy Level: high Fears: unknown/none observed. Please be patient assisting me in my transition. Training: yes, basic training commands and leash walkingLeash skills: yes. Please be prepared to continue training.House trained: No, as I live in a shelter environ. Please be prepared to help me learn! My adoption fee is $700.00 CAD plus applicable taxes. This includes my transportation to Canada, if I am able to be accompanied by a flight volunteer directly to Vancouver. Please send us a private message or an email if you have serious inquiries and not in comments. Email: woofywishes@gmail.com TORBO (TRIPOD) was rescued from the Middle East and now he is in Vancouver BC and he's looking for his forever home. It is ideal for Torbo to go to a home where he can have a doggie sibling.Torbo - Shepherd mix - 19 kg - 1.5 yr old - Male - Neutered - Good with dogs - Not cat tested, but he will be ok with proper intro - Good with people of all ages - Crate trained - House trained - Playful & loving - Barks to give warning - Not a flight risk - No aggression - Good on leash - Healthy - He was found with a severed leg when he was a puppy on the street, likely for witchcraft purposes.Torbo is the sweetest friendliest and happiest dog ever. His tail is ALWAYS wagging. He is such a people lover! Going on walks he wants everyone to pet him, and he goes up to everyone to say hi on walks, he gets offended if people don’t want to pet him. He loves attention and human kisses. Turbo is also a super well-balanced dog - he can be super playful and also be super chill and calm. He doesn’t bark much, does not have a huge prey drive, able to stay alone for a bit in a crate with a chew toy. He is perfectly potty trained, not a single accident in the house. He sleeps the whole night in his crate with no waking up. He has medium energy and his 3 legs can tire after a walk, so he isn’t exactly the ideal rough terrain hiking buddy.
