Story
Wander is THE biggest lover to both humans & most other dogs. Wander will do amazing in a household with another large, high energy dog but he likely will not do well alone, with young kids, a very noisy household or with cats. Wander was rescued from a field & is young so he does not yet have any obedience skills. He is learning quickly so far! He will give you plenty of kisses & he will cuddle all day, keep your other dogs entertained, and always keep you busy. He does tend to want to chew on anything he can find, including his toys, so he'll need some redirection. Wander does not so far seem to do well with bigger men or new people at night so far. We're working on some of the timidness. He's very comfortable with his foster family so far. He has mastered his sit command, and has been doing excellent with kennel training (until about 4-5am). We're working on leash training. On his own, he hates walking on a leash and will freak out. If he follows another dog he does well. He does better on a harness than a collar and leash. He is trained to use the doggy door. If the front door is open or he is off leash, he will try to run. Personality wise, he's very, very affectionate which makes him a very needy boy. He is very vocal as well, he will not be a good apartment dog in any form. He needs a house with a yard that is fully fenced in and someone who is home often to spend time with him. He cannot be left out of his kennel while you are gone. He will eat ANYTHING, including the couch, even if sprayed with anti-chew. He loves to play, moreso with another dog than his toys, but he enjoys rope toys and ring toys too. He absolutely loves treats and is very food motivated. He's a crazy, messy drinker and loves to dive into his water bowl. He still has a lot of work to be done being a puppy, but is a great boy!
