You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. If you are interested in any of the FFOSK9 pups,  the first step is to fill out an application at  http://www.ffosk9resq.org/info/adoption . UPDATE ON LOKI'S PROGRESS:   Well Loki has come so so far from when he first arrived as a terrified, confused dog. He is now a playful, spunky, mischievous guy and we feel its time for the next chapter in his life. We feel he needs his permanent home now. He will still need an experienced handler and someone with the patience we have shown him. He will come around and learn to trust and love you as he does me and my husband. He still prefers me over my husband but he will now go outside for him in the mornings, he lays with him in bed and gives him kisses and waits for belly rubs.   There are some things that need to be discussed with his new family, like for one, he will only stay out to potty if I or my husband stay out there with him. He goes out with a pack of 7 dogs and he plays with them and they all get the zoomies, chasing one another around the yard. Loki absolutely loves his play time with his buddies!   Another thing is he absolutely hates a crate! He destroyed the top of a wire crate to get out. He loves to sleep in bed with us at night and when we leave him alone at home, we put him with one of the other dogs in a separate room and play the TV and he seems to do fine with that. If not he has separation anxiety. These are fixable with the right person who is willing to work through his issues.   Loki is neutered,up to date on DAPPV, Boretella, and rabies. He tested negative for heart worm and has been started on monthly prevention. Loki gets along great with other dogs. I've seen him go nose to nose with cats and doesn't seem to mind them one way or the other. He loves kids and was bonded with a teenage girl before coming to rescue.   We do not know his history before that. We know he is about 8 months old and he is mostly if not ALL Belgian Malinois.   So if you are interested in adopting Loki, please reach out to me personally and we can talk. There is an adoption fee and contract to sign.     Loki is a 7 month old, 38 pound Belgian Malinois that needs an experienced handler. He has not had a lot of training at this point but is very sweet once he is comfortable with you. Loki seems to prefer women over men but with kindness and patience, Loki does come around to men.He currently sleeps with his foster mom and dad and will give his foster dad kisses and will snuggle with him at night. Loki is great with kids and other dogs. He loves running in wide open spaces and zoom around the yard with them. He likes to wrestle in the house. He seems fine around cats but we are not 100% sure about that. He has just come nose to nose with the barn cats and doesn't seem to mind them. EXPERIENCED HANDLERS ONLY! To apply please visit our website at https://www.ffosk9resq.org/ There is a $325 adoption fee   Once the application is submitted his foster mom with start processing the application and all the necessary calls are made someone will be in touch.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.  We are a home based, not for profit organization in Northeast Alabama that helps place forgotten and unwanted pets in forever homes.  We are an all volunteer, 501(c)3  organization.  We rescue pets from high kill shelters, prior to being euthanized, as well as strays and unwanted pets. We do not adopt to "outside only" homes nor do we adopt to anyone who wishes to crop, dock, or do any other alterations except the spaying and neutering of their pets.  All pets are completely vetted, up to date on all vaccines, and given rabies certificates.   December 13, 2024, 5:01 pm

Story
Ace was adopted from a shelter as a puppy so I've had him his who life. Ace will play when he's in the mood and although he is big and older he has no joint problems. He is crate and potty trained. I think he has atleast three to five years in him. He so kind and gentle. He is great with kids and LOVES attention and being pet. He is bonded with his 11 year old sister Angel. My husband is in the Air Guard and we are being sent to another state for training. Housing will not accommodate dogs. Iys a very hard decision for us to rehome but we have no other choice and just want to approach this decision the best way we can and avoid shelters. The odds for senior/large breed/bonded pair at a shelter is very bad. We have a very loose timeline on when we will be leaving. Once he gets orders we could be leaving in a week, or a month, again we have little information. So we are looking to rehome both dogs ASAP. Willing to negotiate financial help.
