Story
Blondie is a beautiful 8 year old German Shepherd/ Malinois mix that weighs 58 lbs. She will require training from someone who is very experienced with protection dogs. We have been working with her but she shows signs that someone began protection training with her but never completed it. She does have a strong alfa personality but could potentially make a good protection dog with the right person. We do not think she ever lived indoors so there has been many new things for her. Blondie has been doing great with training and is HOUSEBROKEN! She is not good with kids or cats and is showing dominance to other dogs so it would best if she is the only dog in the house. She is spayed, heart worm negative, fully vaccinated and dewormed. Her adoption fee is $250. January 4, 2025, 12:52 am

Loki is a year old 45 pound Malinois that was found wandering a small rural Alabama community. He is neutered,Heartworm negative, up to date on all his shots and started on his monthly preventatives. A good Samaritan came across Loki and brought him home so we do not know much about his history or anything about his parentage.   Loki has come so far since he first came to Furever Friends of the South K-9 Rescue. He has gained a lot of confidence! He is so full of energy, and he is playful, silly, and an all around great pup. However, Loki needs someone that can train him so he can be all that he can be! He is smart, inquisitive, attentive, and focused. Loki loves to play fetch his his tennis ball and will sit, give paw and lay for you and his reward is to chase his ball. You can see more about him on www.ffosk9resq.org   Loki gets along great with other dogs of all ages and sizes and loves to play. He is submissive to other dogs. Good with kids, prefers woman but will warm up to men. He just needs more time trust men.   Loki is leash trained, loves to sleep in bed with his humans, loves to snuggle on the couch during quiet time with his people and lets you watch T.V while he snoozes. He is completely house trained as well. EXPERIENCED HANDLERS PREFERRED ! To apply please visit our website at https://www.ffosk9resq.org/      Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.  We are a home based, not for profit organization in Northeast Alabama that helps place forgotten and unwanted pets in forever homes.  We are an all volunteer, 501(c)3  organization.  We rescue pets from high kill shelters, prior to being euthanized, as well as strays and unwanted pets. Story
Summer came to us in winter of 2024 as a stray in the verge of starvation. We’ve nourished her back to good health and she’s doing ok now. We do not know her origins but she has done well at responding to basic commands such as sit and come here. We’ve tried our best over the past year to care for her but we were unprepared for a dog of her energy and caliber and have decided it would be best for her happiness to find someone with a more suitable home. Summer needs a large yard or farmland to free roam and we have two acres of unfenced land and every free roam attempt has caused issues with our neighbors. We love her but someone else out there will be able to give her the life she deserves.

Nora is a 3 year old, 60 lbs, Rhodesian Ridgeback/ GSD mix girl! She is very sweet and wants to stay right with her people. She is HOUSEBROKEN and CRATE TRAINED! She has full obedience training and walks nicely on a leash. Nora was found in a box on the side of the road with her siblings when she was very young. Rescue mom took them in and after they all grew healthy and strong they were adopted! You need to use caution with cats around her. She is spayed, fully vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, and heartworm negative. Her adoption fee is $250.January 13, 2025, 6:15 pm
