Story
Now that Suzy has fully recovered from her dental extractions, she is ready to find her forever home! This is what her foster mom has to say about Suzy. “Suzy is so incredibly sweet! She is my little shadow and loves to snuggle on my lap. She would do best in a home where someone works from home or is home most of the time. She is quiet, but will let out a bark if she wants something. Suzy is fully potty trained and does not require a kennel. She does great with other dogs, but would do best in a home with a calm dog that will not knock her over. Being 14 years old, she still gets around good and can even jump up on the couch, but she is a bit more fragile due to her age. She loves her kibble, but I do soften her food since she does not have many teeth remaining after her dental. Her hair is growing back in and she is getting fluffier everyday!” Suzy is a 12 lb, 14 year old Miniature Poodle mix. Rescue Row is a 501(c)3 (non-profit) all volunteer dog rescue organization serving the DFW Metroplex. We are dedicated to rescuing dogs in shelters, dogs in abusive or neglectful situations, and dogs surrendered by their owners because of difficult circumstances. We place dogs in loving, responsible, committed permanent homes, following a comprehensive adoption process, which includes taking considerable care in finding good matches and educating prospective adopters about the responsibilities and costs of bringing a dog into their homes and lives. Dogs in our care are spayed or neutered, microchipped, receive all appropriate veterinary care and treatment, and placed in nurturing foster homes while they await placement in their permanent homes. We assist dogs in distress without regard to age, breed or ease of placement. Dogs in the greatest need take priority. Finally, we strive to work with shelters and other rescue and humane organizations to develop a network of supporters and volunteers in order to create a better world for homeless dogs.
