Story
ALL ABOUT ME  Name: Roha Age: 7 years old Gender: Male Spayed/Neutered: Yes Breed: Bedlington Terrier Colour: Gray Weight: 9kg / 20 lbs Microchipped: Yes   MY RESCUE STORY I used to roam the streets all alone, and then I ended up at a city pound under the euthanasia list simply because there wasn’t enough space. Luckily, rescuers gave me a second chance, and I was adopted by someone who seemed to be my forever family. My adopter even brought me to Bedlington Terrier meet-ups, and for a moment, it felt like I had finally found my place in the world. Sadly, just one week after my adoption, I was found back on the streets, wearing the same little outfit I had on when I left for my new home. I ended up back in a city pound, unsure of what had gone wrong. But I haven’t lost hope! I’m ready to leave my past behind and I’m patiently waiting to meet the family who will truly love and cherish me forever.   MY HEALTH Fully vaccinated (5-round series complete) I’ve been spayed and have no known health issues.   MY PERSONALITY I’m a super friendly boy, and volunteers and staff say my charm and sweet personality make me hard to resist! I love meeting new people, receiving pets, and spending time with humans. Playtime is one of my favorite things, especially when it involves my toys, and I’m happy to be handled and cuddled. I can be a little sensitive at times, particularly around areas I feel attached to, so I would do best in a home with a family experienced with dogs who can give me guidance and understanding.   MY SOCIAL SKILLS With People: I’m a super friendly boy who absolutely adores people! My tail wags non-stop when I meet someone new, and I’m always ready for pets, cuddles, and all the affection you can give. I’ll even happily roll onto my back and show my belly to strangers—yes, I’m that trusting! You can easily scoop me up for snuggles, and I melt into your arms like a little marshmallow. Mealtime is a breeze with me too, since I don’t guard my food from people. While I haven’t spent much time around kids yet, I can be a bit protective of certain special spots that I get attached to, so I’d thrive best in a calm home without young children, where I can feel safe, loved, and completely at ease.   With Dogs:  I enjoy greeting new dogs, but I like to take my time before jumping into play. High-energy or pushy dogs can overwhelm me, so supervised introductions are important. I can get a little jealous if another dog is receiving attention, so I’d do best as the only dog in my forever home. I can also be protective of my food when other dogs are nearby, so having my own space during mealtimes is essential.   With Cats:  I haven’t met any cats yet, so my reaction is unknown.   ENERGY AND ACTIVITIES I have a nice, balanced energy level — just the right mix of adventure and relaxation! I love spending time outdoors, taking in the sights and smells, but once I’m back inside, I settle down easily and enjoy a calm, cozy rest. Whether we’re out for a walk or lounging at home, I’m happy just being by your side.   TRAINING & HABITS I have plenty of leash-walking experience — I follow my handler’s lead well and walk at a nice, steady pace. I can bark when I want attention, and while I don’t guard my food from people, I can be sensitive around other dogs and may growl to advocate for my space. I know how to rest calmly in my kennel and prefer to go potty outside, though I can go indoors as well. With a consistent routine, I’ll happily stick to outdoor potty time.   I’m a sweet boy who gets along wonderfully with people and is generally neutral with other dogs. Volunteers and staff have noticed that I can be protective of certain spots I’m attached to, like resting areas. When I feel protective, I may growl to guard my space. With continued training and guidance, I can learn to be less possessive, and I’ll do best with proper management, such as having my own designated resting spots like a crate.   I’m not sure what I went through in my past, and sometimes I can be sensitive to sticks or sudden objects. But beyond that, I’m a wonderful boy with so much potential, ready to show my loving and gentle side to the right family.   MY IDEAL HOME I’m looking for a patient, loving family who can help me become the best version of myself. I’ll thrive in a home with: A family that offers a safe, structured, and calm environment. A family that enjoys spending quality time together indoors & outdoors. A family that can shower me with love and attention. A family who understands my love for food and that I can get a little protective when other dogs are nearby. With gentle guidance, patience, and lots of love, they’ll help me learn to be calm and patient during mealtimes. A family who understands that I can be protective of certain spots I get attached to and is willing to use gentle training and management to help me feel safe and confident. Ideally as the only dog in the household as I can get jealous. A family of experienced dog owners who will understand my past struggles, appreciate my unique personality, and see the wonderful potential in me.   SPECIAL NOTES Volunteers and staff describe me as a super sweet and affectionate boy, especially during my photoshoot! I generally get along well with both people and dogs, though I do have some resource guarding tendencies that will need gentle guidance and consistent training. With the right support, I’m confident I can learn patience and sharing, and truly show off my wonderful potential. My guarding habits likely stem from my past, when I had to fend for myself on the streets, but they don’t take away from my love for people—I enjoy being handled and absolutely adore receiving affection. I’m ready to shine in a forever home that will help me grow into my best self!   For More YouTube Clips, Click Below! Roha's YouTube Playlist ##2526670##

Story
Meet Dodger! Dodger is a gorgeous apricot poodle, approximately 2 years old and around 20 lbs, with the sweetest soul to match his good looks. He came to us after being rescued by a kind woman who gave him a safe, loving place for four months after he was removed from a home that wasn’t treating him well. Thanks to that compassion, Dodger has truly blossomed. Dodger is a happy, playful, non-shedding boy who loves to follow his people around and keep an eye on whatever you’re doing. He’s affectionate without being overwhelming and thrives on companionship. He absolutely adores other dogs and would be happiest in a home with another playful pup where he can have a furry sibling to romp and bond with. This means he absolutely needs another dog to live with. A fenced yard would be ideal for him to safely enjoy playtime and outdoor fun. He is house trained, enjoys his walks, and is eager to continue learning and settling into a routine. As a poodle, Dodger will require regular grooming to keep him comfortable and looking his best. He currently is not a fan of the car and can get a bit carsick, but with time we hope that he will get used to it. Dodger is currently being fostered in Stouffville, Ontario, and is ready to find the forever home he truly deserves. If you’re looking for a loving, playful companion who will be your little shadow and best friend, apply now to adopt Dodger. ••••••••• As my foster family gets to know me my profile can change and will be updated accordingly. Check back often for details! An application for me can be found at www.justpaws.ca. Just Paws is located in the Greater Toronto Area of Ontario, Canada. We do not adopt out of province or country. Please note that although many of our dogs get along with children, we are not able to adopt to any household with kids under the age of 8 years old. This is a stipulation of our insurance and is not a reflection on suitability of the potential adopter.

Story
Meet Goldie — a sweet, affectionate little girl who’s looking for a loving home where she can continue to thrive. Goldie is about 9 lbs and is believed to be a mix of Chihuahua, Spaniel and Poodle — though her exact mix is anyone’s guess. She has a beautifully soft coat that doesn’t seem to shed and is estimated to be around 2-3 years old. Goldie is settling in beautifully at her foster home in Mount Albert, where she’s happiest curled up on everyone’s lap whenever she gets the chance. She’s a very social, happy pup who loves meeting new people and eagerly runs up to say hello. She has met children and was very happy to see them, and we feel she would do well in a home with older kids who understand and respect dog boundaries. Goldie is adaptable, joyful, and takes new experiences in stride. She loves toys, zoomies, and interactive play, and she continues to make great progress every day. Goldie would thrive in a home with another playful dog who enjoys companionship and fun, but she would also do very well as the only dog as long as she receives plenty of attention, regular walks, and opportunities to burn off her energy. We did explore a home with cats for Goldie, but it became clear that a cat-free home would be the most comfortable and stress-free environment for her. Our goal is simply to set her up for long-term success in a space where she can fully relax and be herself. Cuddly, affectionate, and eager to bond with her people, Goldie is ready to bring love, playfulness, and lots of lap time to her forever home ••••••••• As my foster family gets to know me my profile can change and will be updated accordingly.
