If you are interested in NOVA or in adopting a pup in general, the first step is an adoption application. Download an adoption application here Please email the completed application to adoptionteam4.woofriver@gmail.com Please submit an application rather than an inquiry with no application attached. NOVA is a smart, beautiful and wonderful soul. She wants nothing more than to please and be loved. Beautiful NOVA is the most perfect girl around! She is cuddly, sweet, goofy, well behaved, and always happy! NOVA loves other dogs of all ages and sizes and is a big fan of doggie daycare. She loves dogs so much, we feel she would be happiest in a home with at least one other canine friend. NOVA also loves to play with her toys and can entertain herself for hours on end. She is a clever, active girl who would do great with obedience or agility training to keep her bright mind and body in shape. With her happy personality and comical doggy antics, she is guaranteed to bring a smile to your face everyday. Sweet NOVA is potty trained, crate trained, and only chews on her toys. She does well in the car and would make an ideal traveling companion. She would also be a great companion on a restaurant patio for a little happy hour when the weather is nice . If your top 3 attributes in a new friend are smart, good-looking and affectionate, NOVA is the girl for you. She will bring so much light and warmth into her lucky forever family's life. All of our dogs start their journey in Memphis, Tennessee where they remain in loving foster families until they are adopted. Once adopted, some pups stay local in Memphis. Many others travel via one of our transport partners to their new forever homes. We use Pet Express Transport (https://petexpresstupelo.wordpress.com) for our Nashville, Knoxville and New England adoptions. For our Midwest adopters, we have our own private transport. Breed selection is done in conjunction with two local vets and is not to be considered a guarantee but rather a well-educated decision from well qualified staff. Due to the extremely high volume of inquiries we receive, we ask that you request, complete, and submit an application before asking additional questions. We try very hard to include all pertinent information in our bios. We are excited to help you find your new family member. However, Woof River is 100% volunteer operated. We want to spend our time saving dogs and assisting those adopters who have taken the time to complete an application. Thank you for understanding. Please LIKE Woof River on Facebook! Story
Cookie was abandoned by his homeless owner and left on the street. A neighborhood BYB picked him up. He was kept out in a small 4 foot pen and never allowed out. Cookie was heartworm positive. I assisted with his rescue and several other dogs on the property after reporting the person for her illegal operations. Cookie received heartworm treatment and is free from heartworms now. He's neutered and trained to do tricks for treats. Great dog, housebroken, loving and friendly to other dogs. I let him play with all my new Intakes. Great for a older gentleman who is retired and likes to go for walks. Cookie can also hike the trails with young females. He's very versatile.

Story
Meet Lilibeth Currently fostering in Tennessee. (If not adopted by then she'll be moving to a New England foster on 9/24/22) Here's the link to our adoption application: https://form.jotform.com/201317338010137 Let us introduce you to Lilibeth and her gorgeous little flowers. These guys found themselves in need of a new place to land and we agreed to take them in. Lilibeth has done a wonderful job protecting, teaching and taking care of her sweet little babies. Most of her babies have found their forever homes, now it is her turn. Lilibeth is a very sweet girl that enjoys spending time with her family. She is a great medium size dog at 46 pounds. She follows her foster mom around the house frequently just to see what she is doing. Her favorite place to be is on the couch next to anyone getting love. She adores kids, and will follow them were ever they go. Lilibeth is house trained, crate trained and doing great at all her manners. She is fostering with several other dogs of various sizes and personalities. She seems to do best with the ones that are closer to her size and a little calmer and submissive. Big dogs with lots of energy make her anxious. Lilibeth also tends to want to be the boss. ADOPTION INFORMATION: We are a foster-based animal rescue and we thank you for your interest in one of our animals. Our fosters and adoption coordinators are the backbone of what we do. Our fosters work tirelessly to integrate our rescue animals into their home, so that we can provide as much information to potential adopters as possible. In addition, our coordinators offer as much information regarding the medical and behavioral and personality characteristics as is known to our organization. Without them, and our extremely generous donors, we would not be able to save as many animals as we do every day. With each adoption, we operate a Pay It Forward program, whenever possible, to help other animals in our rescue and future animals in need. If you are interested in one of our animals, please complete an application. The application link can be found on our Petfinder homepage under the picture. You may also find our application on our website at www.petmatchmakerrescue.com under the Adopt page. If they are listed on our website, their adoptions have not been finalized yet. That does not mean that we have not received several applications, already. Please complete an application if you are interested and we will keep you apprised of their current status. We are all volunteers that work full-time jobs, so please be patient with us. We will get back with you as quickly as possible. If you are interested in fostering for our organization, please complete an application. The application link can be found on our Petfinder homepage under the picture.
