Story
MARR covers Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Missouri, Nebraska, Oklahoma and Wisconsin and transportation is available for foster/adoption within those states. Zailey is currently in Indianapolis, IN. Zailey has been looking for her forever home and she keeps getting overlooked. As any pet, Zailey does have her challenges, but she has been working hard to overcome them. Zailey is fully muzzle and crate trained. She has also learned that barking does not get her what she wants, therefore she has resorted to throwing tantrums on the floor and couch. However, if you ask her if she wants a cookie, she snaps right out of it and comes leaping to wherever you are. She is a work in progress and is extremely food motivated so that is helpful with training. She knows sit, down, stay, bedtime, room, outside, inside, off, easy, and leave it. There are a couple of other commands she hasn't fully mastered but she is slowly getting there. Zailey has also almost mastered walking on a loose leash with her head halter, she has also been learning wait when crossing streets. I could go on and on about everything Zailey has learned while staying with her current fosters but that would be a novel. Zailey LOVES toys and even though she loves playing with them she rarely purposely destroys them and would rather throw them around. Zailey is a wonderful dog that just needs reassurance when facing new situations, people, and other dogs. She has learned that if her foster mom is calm then there is no need for her to react, Zailey would do best in a kid free household where she can get all the attention. Princess Zailey is very much spoiled and would love to show you her tricks in exchange for a treat. She needs someone that will be stern with her and hopefully is rottie savvy. Something else that will help her be very successful is following the decompression guide as she will not rest and nap unless she is alone. We believe Zailey could live with another dog in the home but it would require slow introductions and be a laid back dog for the best chance at long term success. Will you be her angel here on earth?

Story
MARR covers Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Missouri, Nebraska, Oklahoma and Wisconsin. Harley2 is being fostered in WI currently. However, transportation is available for adoptions within our coverage area. Harley2 wants nothing more than to be with her humans. She is a fan of men and women alike, as well as children ages 5 and up! She is happy to see new people and will happily greet them. She is a laid back and overall calm dog who loves sleeping on the sofa and sitting/napping in her Foster’s attached greenhouse. Harley2 does have separation anxiety, if left alone, she will whine and bark. It is perfect that her Foster works from home so she can spend as much time as she can get with her humans either while they work inside the home or outside in the garden. She will be content chewing on a bone outside or burying it in the yard but when she has had enough, she will head to her crate inside and settle in for a nap. She does well in her crate. Harley2 is ALWAYS happy to join you for a car ride or a leashed walk. Harley2’s Foster tells us she does well on walks and does not pull on the leash, for some reason she doesn’t like to do her business while leashed so a yard might be the best situation for her. This Good Girl knows sit, wait, back up, lay down, roll over, shake and kennel up. She takes treats gently and can be hand fed although she isn’t very food or treat motivated. She prefers antlers or bones over toys. We are told that Harley2 would prefer to be the only dog in the home. She will bark and growl at cows and horses, even on her car rides, however, if leashed, she is very good at ignoring the free-range chickens her Fosters have. Harley’s Foster tells us she is a great and calm dog that just wants to be spending time with her people, she will happily be your cuddle buddy on the sofa while you watch tv. Do you have space on your sofa for Harley2?!
